After reading some reviews on here, we were worried and wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. We expected one of those moments when you open the door and just think to yourself "oh no..." but, we were pleasantly surprised.

Pros: Staff upon arriving was very very nice & When entering the room, it smelled AMAZING. Best smelling hotel room I have ever stayed in. You can hear the river outside as soon as you get out of your car. It was great. The windows in the room can also open so you can lay in bed listening to the river at night if you wanted. The room was very spacious. A king bed (which was very comfy & had amazingly comfy pillows), a couch (that turns into a bed if needed), a coffee table, tv, and a nice sized desk are in your room.

Cons: the bathroom and sink are in a very awkward place. As soon as you open the door, there's the sink. The bathroom was a bit tiny and as someone on here said before, you do indeed get tiny bursts of cold & hot water. Wasn't too bad just a "wow that's cold" then it's gone. It also took some fiddling with before I could get the temperature of the water comfortable to bathe in. The breakfast was nothing to brag about. pretty much just a lot of bread products. No eggs or meat. Only real reason it got a 4 from me instead of a 5.

Also wanted to note that we checked out at 4am. At a certain point there is no one at the office in this hotel, they're at the hotel across the river. We called the front desk which connected us with the desk across the river and the man walked back over to check us out. This is kind of a pro & con to me. pro because he came over pretty quickly to check us out, con because no one is in the office. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay. We felt comfortable and it wasn't such a long walk to get to everything. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip as well.

My back is killing me,On arrival found a note to go back out on the hwy and got to the next lodge up the road to check in, I had bursts of hot and then cold water while trying to shower, room was drafty, fan in bath was rumbling like it may explode at any minute, the place advertised a hot tub but then when we arrived was told it was closed for the season (who wants a hot tub in the summer?), poor ! poor! poor! poor! and awful so called breakfast, Instant coffee, even the tv remote did not have an on/off button(one had to get up in the cold room to shut it off) Just not a good experience at all. And they offered the lowest competetor price but make shur you don't book on line because they don't honor that off if it is an on line booking. I found many other places in town that were much nicer and more reasonably priced.

I liked the room, but the bathroom needs some TLC. We changed rooms in the middle of the night bc my bf woke up to find something crawling on him. He got paranoid and looked up bedbugs. We changed rooms about an hour later. Looked over the bed and it looked clean. I changed clothes and left the others in the bathtub so they wouldnt touch my others. The next morning when we left they did have someone spraying the room we were in at first. Somehow I believe they followed me home. I have red bumps all over my left arm, and even one on my eyelid. We just stopped for the night bc it was late and we wanted a night in Gatlinburg. The price was good, but I could have done without the bedbugs.

a very nice room with balcony on Little Pigeon River. the room was large, with a nice vanity area.
My only complaint was the poor housekeeping day to day. We stayed 3 days, and did get fresh towels, but beds wern't made, coffee pot not cleaned, and it wasn't vacumned. I did complain to the front desk and she made an adjustment on our rate. Maybe a housekeeper didn't show up or something. I would definitely stay here again.
