“Great, Clean and Friendly B&B in Gattlinburg”

Our Second stay at this great B&B. The owners could not do enough to make you feel at home. The location was perfect, as was their recomendations for things to do, places to eat as well as the suggestions on the timing as to when do do things. The home was spotless and the homemade breakfast was great and offered ample selections. Fresh cookies, cake, and drinks are available 24/7. A must stay B&B.

“Great value, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

The rain kept us indoors more than anticipated on our trip but luckily we had a close, comfortable place to relax. The food was great and the owners were very helpful. Would recommend as a nice quiet getaway.

We had a great visit to Laurel Springs Lodge. The room was very comfortable, the food was delicious, and the Dan and Karen were very helpful and friendly. The entry room is warm and inviting and includes nightly snacks. We had a great visit and would go again.

“Overpriced and over-rated”

We stayed here on the thanksgiving weekend. We felt it was too overpriced for the kind of amenities we had. The rooms were too small and noisy at times. There was lot of disturbance from other rooms, due to which we could not sleep well all 3 nights.

When we spoke to the owners before booking the rooms, they said this place is 1.5 blocks away from Gatlinburg main strip, which was not true AT ALL. Gatlinburg main downtown was not at all walking distance from this place.

One thing we liked is the breakfast, it was good all 3 days!

Room Tip: Beware when they say 'mini-suite', its actually not a suite at all.

We were unaware you did not enjoy your stay or of any issues you may have had.

There do seem to be some issue that do not ring true. As far as the rooms "not being suites" that is correct our rooms are not suites and we do not advertise them as such, they are mini-suites, which allows you a sitting room that the standard rooms do not have, all mini-suites are nice sized, again a suite is generally more than one room and this is not what we advertise our rooms to be.

As far as other guests disturbing you so you could not sleep, on the first two nights of your stay your group (4) entertained yourselves on the gazebo until 1am. All other guests were in bed as well as the owners and were all disturbed by your group. When you did come in, you did not shut or lock the door behind you. We had to get up both mornings when you decided to come in and shut and lock the door behind you. We did ask you to please make sure the door is latched and locked behind you, you insisted you had done that, but again the next night it still did not happen.

The first night of your stay, we had only one other room occupied, an elderly couple that had turned in by 8:30pm, and were not on the same floor as either of your rooms.

The second night of your stay we did have a full house, but again you were the last group to turn in.

The last night of your stay you were the only guests at the B&B. There was no one to disturb you except your own group.

As far as breakfast, all three mornings of your stay, you were 45 minutes late for breakfast, we were gracious enough to still serve you.

Our Inn is 1-1/2 blocks from the main parkway that runs through Gatlinburg, from our Inn to the far end of town is 1.5 miles one way. This would cover the entire main parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. We are 1.5 blocks off the parkway at light number 2, light number 10 is the light as you enter the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. So round trip from our inn to the end of town and back is a total of 3 miles. Most of our guests, from 20 years old to 70 years old will leave their cars parked here at the B&B and walk into town, some several times a day. We as owners also walk to restaurants for dinner. This is a very easy walk if you walk at all.

Our rates are very competitive for our area and the offerings we provide. If you compare rates and ammenties with B&B's in our area you will see we are well within our market range.

I believe a lot of the issues here stem from us not being able to accommodate both couples in one room, not being able to provide an area that you could have a bonfire, having to ask you to keep the noise down in the late hours and having to continually ask you to make sure the door was shut.

We are sorry you felt the need to leave this type of review without saying anything to us during your stay.

As owners/innkeepers we are always trying to insure our guests have a wonderful experience, always upgrading/updating and improving upon our offerings. We have guests that stay with us several times a year and would not even think of staying anywhere else. If there is an issue during a stay, that we are made aware of, we strive to resolve it to satisfaction during the guests stay.

We are very forward and honest about our B&B and what our offerings are, the pictures on our website show our Inn as it is, we do not touch them up and try to show offering we do not have. We take pride in being an honest, friendly, and family like inn setting. Our guest can relax and be themselves as we ourselves do.

We hope wherever you choose to stay on your next visit will be more to your liking.

“Peace and Quiet Among the Madness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

Gatlinburg is really not our kind of place, preferring more off the beaten path locations, but it was a convenient place for a stopover on our trip so with some trepidation we searched Trip Advisor and found what seemed like a good B&B for the evening. Upon check-in were extremely pleased with the warm and cozy atmosphere. Dan was very helpful and directed us to the Greenbrier restaurant which was away from all the tourists and served an excellent meal. Breakfast the next morning was quite delicious, especially the sugar-baked bacon!
