We had a wonderful two days at the Spur Ranch cabins. The cabin had all of the necessities to cook and grill our meals. We ate at the restaurant and the pizza was wonderful. This is a quiet, clean cabin and ours was just yards from the Snake river which we floated one day. We weren't disturbed by the air traffic although there were some rather large planes flying low at times. We really enjoyed our stay and true to the towns name, we saw Moose by the river early in the mornings.

We loved our 2 cabins at Spur Ranch. They are well constructed, well-appointed, and beautifully located with views of the Tetons from the patio. We were there mid-week and had no problem with noise. The cabins were clean and nicely decorated, the kitchens were well-equipped and we just loved being there. It was well worth the price!

My husband and I travel to Grand Teton National Park frequently, but this was our first stay at Spur Ranch. We absolutely loved it! The one bedroom cabin was super clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of room for us to live in it for a couple of days. I had lots of room to practice yoga in the "living room", and we could spread our stuff out and settle in comfortably. The office was closed when we arrived, but our key was left for us in an envelope tacked to the door frame. I read previous reviews suggesting that we bring shampoo and such, as it is not provided. They do provide a nice soap and all the paper products (paper towels, too) and garbage bags you need. There is no hair dryer, but really this was not an issue even though I have hair to my waist - t is so dry out there my hair dried quickly. We saw no signs of mice, and frankly it would not have bothered us if we did. The cabins are in a national park, after all. We were able to snow shoe from our front door across a sage brush field that borders the Snake River. And, like many other reviewers we saw Moose as they came to the river for an evening meal. We WILL stay here again. It is now one of my favorites in the area!

Just came back from an incredible vacation to Grand Teton's and Yellowstone. We could not have picked a more perfect place to begin and end our journey than Dornan's. It is the perfect location from which to explore the surrounding area. Just 5 mi N of Jackson airport, at the very entrance to the Grand Teton Park , we found our cabin to be cozy, very clean, and comfortable with well stocked kitchen and with the most amazing views of the Teton's. The cabins are situated on a lovely meadow with the Snake River just steps away. Our first morning walk we encountered two beautiful bucks outside our cabin. Loved both our cabins as we had a different one on our way back from Yellowstone (only a 3-4 hr trip) Found Earl to be quite gracious and helpful. He told us there had been a little problem with mice this year, but we had none. The cabins ARE in the middle of a lush open meadow. Even if we had one, we would have handled it, we have seen mice before. That could not have compared to the incredible beauty all around us. To have seen deer and moose right outside our cabin, now THAT we have never seen, quite amazing. We loved the convenience shops, the Pizza/Pasta restaurant has a view from the bar and rooftop deck that must be the best in the park. Drinks are very reasonable. As we were sitting on the deck 3 bull moose came right up from the river. You never know what to expect at Dornan's. We rented bikes at the Adventure shop, grabbed some sandwiches and goodies from the deli and headed off to Jenny Lake, Another highlight of our trip. Also took the raft float trip which was a delightful ending to a perfect day. Then headed to the Chuckwagon for a relaxing meal. There was a Hootenanny one night but we could barely hear the music, and enjoyed whatever we could hear. And the very last morning, of course, those magnificent moose right outside our cabin. No TV? Who needs it when surrounded by such natural wonders. Be sure and stop by the new visitor center, it is just beautiful. We will definitely be back and are already planning next year's trip.
