The walls were paper thin, and the continental breakfast was "meh" at best. We were about 3 rooms down from the lobby on the 2nd floor and were woken up at 5:30 am by staff talking loudly and banging around (near the breakfast area maybe?). Requested a room with a view of Lake Powell, and they did a good job of putting us on the correct side of the hotel, but the view itself was completely lacking. The internet was also not working for the first few hours we were checked in. Someone called about it while we were checking in and I heard the front desk woman tell the caller "Hmm... it should be working. No one else has called about this being a problem." I called about 20 minutes later reporting the same thing and received the same response. Absolutely no attempt at resolution.

Checked in at 5.30 after a tour of Antelope Canyon (brilliant) so hot, sweaty and covered in a layer of fine sand. in desperate need of a shower but no hot water. By 7.00 very hungry so went for dinner still covered in sand (we nicknamed ourselves Sandy and Dusty).Got back to hotel at 8.30, still no hot water. Went to lobby to complain at 9.00 to be told to wait another half hour. When I said we had been waiting since 5.30 was told that Don the maintenance man would be up to check things. Don I'm still waiting. At check out the next morning was finally told that the boiler had broken down and was very grudgingly offered a 15 percent reduction on the room price. As this was made very obvious that this was very much a take it or leave it offer then I had no choice but to accept even though I made it obvious that I wasn't very happy. Have to say that the attitude of the staff left a lot to be desired. I realise that boilers break down but surely a hotel like this should have a backup plan. So Sandy and Dusty checked out having paid $100 for a room with no hot water. Have tried to contact Best Western to further my complaint but there doesn't seem to be any way for direct contact so if anyone from Best Western is reading this then feel free to contact me. Not up to usual Best Western standards and certainly wouldn't use again or recommend.

We stayed at the BW View of Lake for 2 nights. The rooms need updating but the worst part is the Breakfast area. It is only open from 6 to 9am, but since there are quite a few buses stopping at the hotel, the breakfast is like a war zone, no food left and only 1 lady, refilling at her own pace. The 2 mornings we were there, there was either no bread, or no eggs or no orange juice, no cereals or no milk, the bins were overflowing ...very nice sight early in the morning. This is supposed to be complementary but they need to decide what they want to do as this is a joke!
I would not recommend this hotel, I am sure you can find far better in this area for the same price

Room itself was fine and clean. However, no hot water for 24 hours - likely beyond their control -but offered no discount just ability to cancel reservation at time of check in. Pool under repairs the entire stay of 3 days. Spa appeared shuttered and was unavailable as well. Small crowded breakfast area - and circuit breaker kept tripping -twice in the 30 minutes we were there and also on more than one day. Ran out of some supplies. The rooms facing the entrance experience noise from the crowds at night and if windy the flag pole attachments bang incessantly against the flagpole. Asked to have flag come down on windy night - did not occur.
