“Hated the place”

We were on a 3 week trip of the SW and this was by far the worst room we stayed in and apart from Ceasar's Palace in LV also the most expensive one.
First, the location is awful. Several miles from the Lake Powell, that you can see, but can't get to any other way but with a car. We paid extra for lake view only to realize, that you can see it in the far distance if you step through the door and look right.
Second, we had to rush to get to the place since the manager was there only till 8 p.m. and if we were late, we coul've stayed outside. We had to shorten our trip to Bryce Canyon for that.
Third, the room. The room was dirty, smelly and the furniture was at least 30-40 years old. We were uncomfortable walking on the thick carpet due to so many dirt on it. Obviously the managers idea how to cut costs on room cleaning is to put a wacum cleaner in the room, so everybody can clean it for themselves. The blankets were extremly dirty and had holes in them. Once you fold out a very uncomfortable couch and pull out a bed from the closet there is hardly any room left. The bathroom was so-so, it did have a washer and a dryer. The large spider in it scared out the girls, but I guess that could've happened anywhere.

“Did not get our deposite back !”

We planned a 5-family trip to Lake Powell in the Summer of 2008 and decided to stay in Linda's Condo. The pictures look great and the people sounded very friendly over the phone. We even got a discount for immediate payment of over $1200 as the first night's deposit. Unfortunately, because of sickness of family members and conflict in schedule, we had to cancel our reservation. We were assured a full refund on the phone and even received a confirmation e-mail of cancellation and credits. The cancellation was made more than one month prior to our intended arrival date. More than a month had passed, NO REFUND WAS RECEIVED. After several phone calls and e-mail were ignored we were forced to contact the credit card company. Meanwhile we are still waiting for the refund.
We had been doing our multi -family trips for many years, nothing like this had happened. All other places we stayed in had a no nonsense refund policy. If you plan to stay at Linda's Condo, be aware and do not pay any money unless you are certain about your plan.

We just came back from a trip on lke powell and we had a great time there. The appartment are good , not great but ok you have a nice view on Lake Powell. People taking care of the appartments are very nice persons. We rented their boat which was less expensive than anywhere and we had the best time !

“Nice place, no room for kids and needs a good maintence man”

When we arrived in pagve we were looking for a place to stay for the week. We were recomended to Linda's Condo's as they have a 180 view of the lake! This is not so. You can only see a little corner of the lake from the "room with a view". Also the beds are pullout from the wall and sofa! The main bed in the wall had a spring in it that had gone clear through and I did not it until I was fast asleep and awakened by it when I rolled on to it. The owner advertises washer and dryer. However our washer leaked on to the floor when we tried to use it, at 10 pm and the office was closed and no maintence man was even available the next day. So we had to fix it ourself. Needless to say after using all the towels to clean up the water we had alot of things that needed drying. The washer dryer set is a stackable so very little would fit properly in the dryer, and it did not dry very well at all it took 3 times through to get on small load of towels to dry. then we noticed some holes in a few of our shirts that had been snaged on the lint trap that was missing and had duct tape on it to fix it. We concluded since the lint trap was missing the vent was obviously clogged and had enough ruined clothes and took them back into town. We also liked the idea of having a kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave, however the dishwasher was very filthy and smelled horrible when we first opend it up we ran it a few times empty and then attempted to do our dishes, they came out dirtier then they went in! We also had a bunch of moldy rotten food in the bottom of the fridge. Needless to say we should have checked all this before we paid for the week. If Linda's condo's would get a good maintence repair man and some desent houskeepers as well stop telling people they will get 180 view of lake powell she could have a great place. However they really need to fix the dishwashers and dryers first!

“So much to offer, so much to fix”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2005

I spent a lot of time deciding where to stay in Page and settled on Linda's because of one of the reviews and the photos. We didn't take clear instructions with us on how to get to the condos so we spent a lot of time retracing our steps (our fault). We finally arrived rather tired and stressed and were not in the frame of mind for what we were to encounter. Firstly, the condos are nice on the outside but were not near the water as the photos led us to believe. We paid extra for a water view room but the only water that could be seen from our balcony was from the very right hand corner. Water glimpses would be more to the point. We opened the door and were hit by a very unpleasant smell. It took some time to track it down -the dishwasher reeked and was in dire need of deodorising. The bathroom was clean but the rest of the place didn't feel fresh. The brown shag pile carpet was well past its use by date and we didn't like to walk on it bare-footed. The main bed was a pull down type and I doubt if anyone had cleaned behind it for months. The sofa bed was OK but difficult to collapse. The blankets were dirty (or badly stained) and some had holes in them. The laundry was great and we made good use of the washer and dryer. There was also a good drying area in the laundry. There was a great oven, but unfortunately, no baking dishes to use in it. The room did have a TV and DVD player. There was a good sized balcony to sit out in the evenings but alas, no barbeque as mentioned by a previous reviewer. We had looked forward to that. The hosts were great. They had really good ideas about where to go and what to do. They know the area very well.
Page is a very interesting town and Lake Powell is worth a look. An absolute must to see is the lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Both are a very short drive out of town. They rate as two of the top places we visited on our trip. Be aware though, Antelope Canyon will cost a considerable amount to visit.
If you are considering staying in Page, I would suggest staying in town. The view from most places overlooking the lake is pretty good.
