While searching online for tour companies to visit the Upper Antelope, I've emailed a few companies with questions. I was especially nervous about cancellation policy because this tour is so weather dependent. One co. never bothered to respond. But Overland is the company that always responded promptly and in a professional manner. On the day of the tour, I was really excited because the weather was great and I only hoped that the tour was just as great. Our guide, Rob, a young, enthusiastic fellow, gave us a very information tour and on top of that, he gave us all enough time to take pictures and often times, asked the other people of other tour groups politely to step aside so that we can have our pictures taken (for those who have been there, you know what a zoo that place is). Also, I joined the regular 1.5 hours tour, and I had plenty of opportunity to take some great pictures. If you are a keener and need more time to set up, then the photography tour may be for you instead.

Pleasantly surprised. The guide, Robin, was extremely helpful with the tour, giving us the history of the canyon, as well as helping us with all our camera shots. He even helped the whole group with their cameras so that we could get the best shots. The only complaint, if you can call it that, is that if you make a reservation by internet, do it at least 3 days in advance, as they book 2 days in advance from the internet reservations. Otherwise, they give you as much time as possible on the tour as allowed by the Navajo Nation. Going in October is great as there are fewer people, the weather is great, and the lighting in the Canyon is still great. Ask for Robin for your guide if you can.

Because we didn't want to go with a large group we chose to take a photography tour. We were really glad we did. The tours we saw were rushed through and quite large. Marty, our guide, took the time to show us (my husband and me) the angles to take phenomenal photos. He knew the times the crowds would be in certain areas so we could take photos without having to trip over other people. While we had extra time in the canyon, we didn't have unlimited time. We didn't learn the names of the formations, but that was fine with us - I generally forget them anyway. Beware that this is a very popular site - there are alot of people of all ages constantly coming and going. It is difficult to relax and really enjoy the beauty. But it was fun to see. Now I really appreciate professional photographs of the canyon because I saw the canyon.

We booked the Antelope Canyon and Canyon X tour and we were not disappointed. The tour was great. Not a large group, like with other tours we saw in Antelope. This company is the only one that tours Canyon X, so it was just our group of 4 and the guide. Our guide (Ryan) was great, he was freindly, helpful and knowledgeable about photgraphy in the slot canyons. The bag lunch provided with the tour was terrific. Overall the staff were friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a tour of Antelope Canyon or any of their tours, you won't be disappointed.
