Bear Track Inn has it all! You are a treasured guest from the moment you arrive at this magnificent lodge, until the last inhaled breath of pure Alaskan air. The staff is warm, kind, friendly and eager to make your stay the best. The rooms are spacious, clean and inviting. The chef prepared meals are absolutely delicious and they are served with an abundance of Alaskan hospitality. The office staff is more than knowledgeable and willing to help you plan your desired outings, they will make all the arrangements and pack you a wonderful lunch as well. The scenery is tranquil, peaceful and breathtaking. Staying at the Bear Track Inn was a dream.

This was a great place to stay. They need to improve on the food. They need to improve on the recommended flight services to various locations. We used their suggestions for the flights and found the planes to be in poor condition and made us extremely nervous. My Husband is a pilot so we were very much aware of the lack of care for these planes.

The Bear Track Inn was such a nice surprise! The log cabin design is spectacular. The staff couldn't be more accomodating led by Janie, the owner. A very special place - THE place to stay in Gustavus!

What an absolutely delightful surprise to find such an elegant and comfortable lodge amidst such a wild and beautiful place as Glacier bay National Park. The rooms are large and appointed with well thought out, comforts, colors and materials, including the bathroom which has all the comforts of a premium hotel. The food is outstanding and all freshly prepared on site with friendly and flexible service. The main lodge space is comfortable, bright, offering beautiful views of the surrounding meadow, woods and ocean in the distance. All the activity recommendations from the staff were on target, including whale watching, a day cruise of Glacier Bay, or guided hikes and fishing trips. All the staff were helpful, energetic and friendly. This is a far superior option to the nearby park lodge, and worth its premium price. Wifi is available for a price, but spotty, as it is in most of rural Alsaka.
