After reading some of the negative reviews, I was concerned about my upcoming stay. While the neighborhood is a bit desolate at night, but everything was so good,nice staff,all kind of food within a block their is no microwave in rooom but they let me use their own staff micowave,large room size,i made more then 30 localcall within US Free,& ye you no what Free highspeed Internet right thier in your room.

We stayed in deluxe room.Room size was adequate. Flat-screen, remote control TV, and clean bathroom.Good air conditioning and ventilaton, with in-room controls, kept the temperature comfortable. Window had heavy drapes to pull closed, keeping out light and noise. We paid $110 per night for a room and stayed for 4 nights, including free parking, internet and free call with in US, which we thought excellent value. Desk clerk was pleasant and helpfulThe motel is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. It's near to JFK airport & gateway mall.
Overall I would say this is probably the best motel we have ever stayed in on holidayand in NEW YORK city.

i took a list of hotels in Brooklyn with me on my trip to NYC because a signifigant amount were booked, and i hoped to call and find an opening upon my arrival. the Galaxy was the only one available and promised that, even without a reservation, we could get a room. it was a relief but we quickly realized why they don't take reservations and why there were always free rooms. they book rooms by the hour. since it was a last resort we took a room and hoped for the best. as the night went on the activity in the halls, and loads of free porn on the television, made very clear that there are certain types of patrons that frequent this hotel. we're just glad we didn't have anything stolen from our rooms.

I tried to call one week before my time in Brooklyn - just to check the availability of two rooms for one night and was not even able to get the info about what rooms might be available. Also was not allowed to reserve a room!

The first thing the person on the phone said was, "The rooms are $100 a night!" So? I know how much rooms cost in the area... I have checked the reviews! How unprofessional.
