Having just returned from New York, staying at the Days Inn Brooklyn was a big mistake after a very long journey arriving at the hotel the reception was a window in a porch with staff who didnt know what they were doing and some of us not booked in they said even though we had the confirmation documents ,after an hour we checked in,the rooms were small the wardrobe was about a foot across with a trouser press jammed in the drawers were about 9 inches wide and couldnt get in them because the bed was about that far away, the bed was confortable and the bathroom ok,the trains that ran all night were a problem and seemed only yards away. After 3 hours sleep, the small breakfast room badly needed a revamp but the coffee was good and continental breakfast was quite adequate. The area of Brooklyn is not the kind of place to wander around on an evening we were told this by a local,it is also about a 40 minute subway train ride into the city and the taxi drivers did not want to take us back to Brooklyn saying they didnt know where the hotel was on 3 occasions we got sat in the taxi and when they knew we wanted to go to Brooklyn asked us to get out.New York was magical and was everything we hoped it would be."Annie East Yorks"
