We stayed for one night between a road trip heading north to Fairbanks and catching the railroad south to Anchorage. Mary the host was welcoming, and we had fixed up the booking, payment and early departure by email in advance (we had packed breakfasts left in the fridge for us to take on the train). The house is very close to downtown and has ample onsite parking.
Our room was on the lower ground floor, which I at first thought would be dingy, but it was fine, and all we did was sleep down there anyway! There were four of us, two adults and two children, and we had the Blue Suite, with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a private bathroom. It was spacious and all very clean, beyond clean in fact, and comfortable, maybe even a bit corporate feeling. Not a home-from-home B&B.
Obviously we cannot comment on the sit-down breakfast (although the packed one was fine - yogurt, an apple, a muffin and a bottle of water each - I did feel they could have stretched to fruit juice), but the dining and lounge areas looked more than adequate, and we sat in the lounge for a while in the evening to use the wifi (it didn't work in our room).
A good B&B, but sadly a bit soulless and not one I yearn to go back to; I'd probably try somewhere different if I ever went back to Fairbanks.
