“Try to add a little something new.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Make sure you hit your work out goals extra hard before going so you dont feel guilty about the breakfast. Fresh strawberry and creme, homemade scones with creme fraiche, ridiculous eggs, bacon and "things that make you go mmmmmmmmm" grits.

The Tacos & Soup joint on Caroline is great for lunch. Hit Kybeccas for an app/wine then Bistro Bethem for your mains and then walk it off with a cup of Hyperions Coffee from right next door. Spread the wealth the best way...

Willies room is larger, but make sure you know it has a shower (a really great shower....) only, and no bathtub. It did not concern us, but some might. Willies room is also on Caroline street with single pane glass windows and so will be noisier than the other.

Get your picture info on The Schooler House from this website, which I think captures the house better than its own website. Of course, neither of the site's really capture the essence, grace and charm of the house.

Our hosts went out of their way for us. I am an extremely early riser, and they happily left the coffee set up and ready for me to turn on and enjoy while I read the NYTimes on my laptop by the cozy fireplace.

If you are checking out its location via google maps etc please note that while the Schooler house appears to be a bit off the main area, it is actually only about a 60 second walk to where the main shopping and dining areas begin.

We hope to return next fall.

Room Tip: Willies is larger, but with more outside traffic noise.

Terrific B&B, full of interesting antique collections. Warm welcome and excellent breakfast. Book early - there are only two rooms!

Room Tip: Either one is great.

“Always First Rate!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

My husband and I have made a trip to Fredricksburg where we stay at The Schooler House Bed & Breakfast an annual affair. The home is delightful. Andi and Paul are outstanding hosts. The breakfasts are delightful and beautifully presented. The gas fireplace in our room is wonderful. I could go on and on about the amenities, convenience to shops and dining, and the delightful surroundings. Staying at the Schooler House is a must do treat! After each weekend, we look forward to the next year's.

“A Fredericksburg Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

This little B&B is immaculately clean, very comfortable and perfectly situated for a wonderful walking tour of Fredericksburg, if you are so inclined. Andi and her husband Paul are wonderful hosts. They are extremely warm and welcoming. After just a few minutes, you are sure you made the right choice to stay there. Our breakfast was delicious and it was fun to be served on Andi's antique china, silver and crystal. We fully intend to return in the spring to take advantage of Andi's hospitality, local knowledge and gardening skills while we further explore that charming little city.

“Fantastic!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

Fantastic!!
The Schooler B&B was amazing. We felt so welcome. I was prepared to find a hotel and hunker down for the night and be happy with my “free” shampoo and bagel in the morning, but on a whim I called some B&Bs I found on the internet. The other place I called was full. Oh thank you fate :) The Schooler House was warm and inviting. We had plenty of privacy but could roam the house as we pleased if we wanted to mingle or find an area of the house to sit in and visit. The restoration of the home was meticulous. Every door, window, and piece of trim was perfect. The antiques were adorable as well. It was awesome to see the appreciation for history and hospitality. Breakfast was amazing! The best Earl tea I have had in a long time. I hope Anita can create a frequent flyer card for us. Thank you for an amazing stay. A&J

Room Tip: Both rooms are great!
