Driving back from Hilton Head to NJ, we just needed a place to shower, eat and sleep, and this seemed to fit the bill as it is close to I-95. I will say the man working the front desk was friendly, but when we went to our assigned room there was a wildly barking dog right in the room right next door (surprised they allowed this.) We went back to the front desk and were given another room. Although it is supposed to be non-smoking, the room REEKED of smoke and mustiness, was extremely run down and unclean. Believe me I have never left a hotel in my life, am very easy going, but did not feel like I could sleep there, even my kids were creeped out and gagging from the smell, not to mention there appeared to be a drug deal going down in the parking lot right outside our room - I know this is not the hotel's fault but it was just generally very seedy. We left after 5 minutes and asked for a refund to our credit card. The manager was less friendly, barely spoke a word and didn't ask if there was anything he could do, but he did refund my money. I am also never compelled to write a review but this was so bad I wanted to warn away travelers with kids - it was also not inexpensive - and there was a group of guys hanging out on the balcony and drinking, the manager said they were "local painters who were just chilling and partying"...need I say more?

I stayed here after being walked from another hotel and was pleased to be able to find a decent room at a late hour. However the next morning I was quite surprised to find the breakfast bar was almost out of food and it was still very early. When I asked I was told we were bombarded early and that is all thats left. The staff was not even able to supply napkins to an older lady who spilled coffee. This was not very guest friendly and other staff members were also not very accomodating when approached for help.

Older but well maintained hotel. Fridge and microwave in room. Very clean. Good front desk service and good breakfast (free). Great price with Welcome centre coupon. Fourth stay on our way to Virginia Beach from Canada. Love it and will be back.

Bath Room was clean, bed was comfortable, like not having inside corridors (we traveled with two cats and it's so much easier bringing them and their gear into the room). However, the overall condition of the room looked to be somewhat run down, definitely could use a sprucing up in general. The location was excellent for an off/on to Rte. 95.
