Stayed one night on our way to the Outer Banks. The room was OK until a life-sucking odor overcame us. We searched for the source and finally realized the odor appeared just after my husband had placed a can of soda in the room's refrigerator. Although the refrigerator appeared to be clean inside, apparently someone had left food to rot in it for some time. I quickly retrieved the can of soda, sprayed room air freshener and kept the refrigerator door closed for the remainder of our stay. Reported this problem at check out---the only way it could be solved is to bury the refrigerator and replace it with another odor-free one. Also, the restaurant that is a part of this hotel has fair food for outrageous prices. The continental breakfast that comes with your stay is just scant---and hardly worth the bother.
