I had a little difficulty finding the Inn - because it is actually located in Brookline, not Boston! Oops, entered it into my GPS wrong. Room #5 was super cute and initially very chilly but after an hour it was toasty and in the morning brilliant sunlight streamed in, just as promised. There was a beautiful breakfast and snacks through out the day - which was a cost/time saver. Close to many restaurants, Trader Joe's and Longwood Medical. As a single girl I felt very safe walking around including my walk back to the Inn after dinner. There was only one staff member that I encountered, she was not overly friendly, but we all have off days now and again.

Have stayed at several places in the area. Was pleased to stay here. I found the staff here better than at the Bertram , where they are just plan rude. Liked the style of the house. Beds were comfortable. Staff was accommodating which is the most important at a b and b, maybe this was in response to other reviews? Would definitely come back!

We stayed only one night in The Beech Tree Inn while visiting relatives. As some others have noted, it is sort of a hybrid, with less personal attention than many B&Bs provide. However, when we did need to speak with staff members, they were pleasant and helpful. The beverages and baked goods that are available at all times were welcome, and welcoming. Also, the Inn provides toothbrushes and toothpaste for those who may have forgotten theirs, in addition to the usual soap and shampoo.

Overnight parking on Brookline streets is apparently illegal, so the Inn has spaces available for $7 per night. The Inn is well located, a short walk from mass transit and restaurants and shops at Coolidge Corners. It is also a short walk from a bike/walking path along a river.

This Inn may be less personal than many B&Bs, but it will never be confused with a hotel. There are many charming touches, such as a small booklet in the room containing recipes for some of the baked goods they make for guests.

We were in Room 7A. It was well decorated and comfortable, although the bathroom was quite small.

If we need a place to stay in the area in the future, we would not hesitate to return.

Everything you would expect in a nice B & B- good location, very friendly staff, snacks and coffee, good breakfast with parking! The rooms were comfortable, everything taken care off including a small toothpaste. Would recommend and would stay here again when I am in Boston next year.
