A friend and I booked Under The Rainbow for three nights recenty. The guest house is not in the best neighborhood and I would never walk from the house to the historic area. We always drove, about a ten minute drive.
One of the owners used his master key and went into my frineds room as he was getting out of the shower. He was standing in the bathroom when my friend got out of the shower. He left when my friend yelled at him. When confronted, the other owner said, "Well, if what you say is true..." He said that he would hide his master key again, that the other owner kept finding them. We decieded to leave. Kevin, the owner still charged us for that night although we were leaving due to being afraid to spend another night there. Kevin told me he thought we were overreacting. For Kevin's information, his partner broke the law by entering the room. It is a landlord-tennat agreement. The landlord cannot enter the room without the renter's permission unless there is an emergency. Looking at someone when they are getting out of the shower is no emergency. I did not argue the night's rent as I just wanted to get out of there. I always support a gay owned business whenever I can, but I would never ever reccomend Under the Rainbow.
