My husband and I spent a night here in Feb 2012. It's an elegant property. Our room faced the harbor and had large bay windows. The staff are absolutely incredible--very attentive and welcoming. We had a room service meal -- fantastic Maryland jumbo lump crabcakes. Awesome meal.

This wasn't my first stay at this hotel but as usual I am always pleased with the surroundings, the service, the pool and the size of the sleeping room. This hotel is as traditional as it gets, the sweeping staircase, the library and my favorite, the Explorer Lounge. The decore of the lounge is that of "Out of Africa" and i picture myself in Karen Blixin's living room each time I go to imbibe. ( I have been to Karen Blixin's house in Nairobi). You can't ask for a more civilized experience. It is one that I have to have at least once a year.

The hotel is 20 minutes from the Amtrak station; easy to find. Excellent location in that it is 1/2 block from the Inner Harbor area which has wonderful attractions. Exceptional and friendly service from everyone: bellman, check-in, room service, housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff. Delicious food both from room service and restaurant. Lovely Explorer Bar. I was acknowleged and thanked for being a Priority Club member and addressed by name. There was free-wi available, too. I highly recommend this hotel!

A very nice experience.. Chad the manager.. did a great job making our stay a positive experience.. Nice rooms.. way more than expected.. Great views of the Inner Harbor.. Lounge area was so relaxing and classy.. was given a recommendation for Brunch that was a Home Run..(Regi's)
