The floor in the bathroom was sticky, the shower curtain had weird spots on it and the top of the TV looked liked someone had left a caramel apple on it and the service never cleaned it. Otherwise the roomrate for this room was higher than expected, they did not have any king beds available so I had to take a quenn at the same price.

This hotel is a good value for the money, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

The bad: The manager at the desk chain-smokes outside of the front door which made the lobby reek of smoke when we arrived. There was a stale smoke smell even on our non-smoking floor, something I haven't experienced in a hotel in many years. There is no counter in the bathroom so there is no place to put "stuff", which seems silly but is an inconvenience nonetheless. Housecleaning employees were very loud in the morning with music and what sounded like wireless radios. Granted, we were sleeping late, but in a hotel I usually expect that employees would be respectful of guests who came to do exactly that: sleep. The room generally seemed sloppily finished and maintained. Nothing is especially comfortable; it's just a place to stay.

The good: Obviously, the price. Free wireless internet and a nice sized mini-fridge. Free parking. The location felt safe when a lot of Baltimore did not. Also it's conveniently located to the highway.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 6-7 times. It is my first choice of hotel when I travel to Baltimore. Hotel is conveniently located near the interstate and downtown inner harbor. There is a large supermarket, a small shopping center and several fast food restaurants located one minute from this hotel. I stopped staying in the pricey downtown hotels because this hotel is "better" and much less expensive. The continential breakfast is so-so but there is free parking and smoking rooms are available. Caution, book early as this is a popular hotel and rooms sometimes sell out quickly. This is "my" hotel wheneven I travel to Baltimore. I have recommended this hotel to many friends and family members.

For the price, I was a little nervous that it would be a dump. It was not. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Was it new luxury accomodation? - no, of course not. But the beds were comfortable, there was free wi-fi and the free breakfast was ok, even if it was carbs only. Great value for the money.
