“ANN STREET BED & BREAKFAST SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY IN THE EAST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 May 2010

My husband and I travelled to Baltimore to attend the Project Liberty Ship cruise for a WWII reenactment. This was our first stay in Baltimore and our accommodations at the Ann Street Bed and Breakfast were exceptional and the location perfect for easy access to the harbor, restaurants and sites. The breakfast each morning was delicious and our hosts were extremely hospitable making us feel right at home! We look forward to visiting the area again and the Ann Street Bed & Breakfast will be our choice to spend our nights.

“At Home with benefits!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2010

Wonderful Bed & Breakfast. The hosts make sure that you are comfortable and well fed. We stayed in the Suite of this charming B&B. It was quite large and filled with many antiques. The area is in the Fell's Point Harbor with much nightlife and quaint shops. Go to Bertha's for amazing mussels and crab cakes. Tell them that Andrew sent you! The breakfast started off with fresh fruit and yoghurt overlooking their garden. Then you are delightfully stuffed with french bread and sausage from local shops. Ann Street Bed & Breakfast is not stuffy and is very economical. I can't wait to take my girlfriends here the next time I come to Baltimore.

“Our favorite spot, twenty minutes from home!”

Carole and I have stayed at the Ann Street B&B several times over the last twenty or so years. We often vacation in our home town, play tourist, take the Water Taxi into the Baltimore Harbor, walk the streets, visit the museums, shop the shops, and eat in our favorite restaurants. Nothing beats the B&B itself, however. The suite is lovely in every season, but we especially enjoy sitting with a book or sewing by the fire in its center room on a winter's evening or, alternatively, cuddling in the glow from its fireplace in the front bedroom.

Joanne and Andrew have been consistently warm and gracious hosts over the years. Breakfast is in their kitchen, and -- like the suite -- is cozy and warm in every season. We have shared our life stories with each other and consider them family. What more can we say than that they are family we enjoy staying with rather than at a hotel?!?

“Less than Charming”

The location was ideal for an experience in Fells Point, however, on a Saturday night the street noise was terrible as the bars closed and loud revelers went their various ways. The guest suite we stayed in was nice, however, it was on the front of the house and we were awake on and off all night due to the revelers, the garbage truck trash pick-up, and various sirens blaring.

There were no TV's in the suite, but there was a very loud one playing either in the owners' quarters or the mother's suite on the third floor. It made a late afternoon nap impossible.

The breakfast prepared by the owner was delicious, but she had to have a definite time for breakfast....not a flexible 8-10 as most B and B's have. This time had to be decided the night before. She even said we made her nervous when we asked politely for a cup of coffee ahead of our appointed eating time. That in turn, made us nervous as we felt we were imposing on her. That feeling permeated the entire experience.

“Great as usual”

Second time at Ann Street B&B. Just a great place in Fells Pont. You absolutely cannot beat the location, the price, or the innkeepers. We returned with friends and they loved it too. Everything is in walking distance and the neighborhood is alive with activitiy. If you can't or don't want to walk from Fells Point to the Inner Harbor (we did it in 25 minutes and we're old) the water taxi is a three minute walk that takes you anywhere of interest on the harbor. Do yourself a favor, book an inexpensive weekend at Ann Street, eat some great seafood in Fells Point, drink some Guinness, and enjoy your life.
