Poor reviews had made me nervous to book this location for our event. However, from the beginning of my communication with the Hotel Manager, I found the staff to be overwhelmingly nice and helpful. They went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed for our overnight event. We booked the queen bedrooms and suites, and everyone commented on how beautiful the rooms were. The grounds are a beautiful, tranquil scene to take in, between meetings. The food was commented on as "ridiculously good!" From the time our patrons arrived, they were asked by all hotel staff if they needed anything, and to let them know if they could serve them in any way. The price we paid for the services we received was incredible! I couldn't come close to the final price at any other area hotels, and I highly recommend you consider this hotel for your event. You won't be disappointed.

I stayed here for a conference so this is for both the hotel and conference center. I'd give the conference center 4 stars and the hotel 2 stars, so it averages out to 3 and you can read whichever is more relevant to your needs :)

I think it's a really nice conference center. The area is really beautiful, the facilities themselves (i.e. the conference rooms) are clean and well-appointed, the staff was great, and the food was excellent. I loved that they kept us well-supplied with delicious meals, snacks, drinks and caffeine throughout!

The hotel left something to be desired. The staff was really nice and friendly and the rooms are clean, but they are very dorm-like in a lot of ways. Definitely good enough for staying at the conference though since I had no free time! :)

Overall had a nice stay here and would recommend it, especially for a conference or meeting.

I stayed in the hotel part of the conference center for two nights in October of 2011. The room decor reminded me of a college dorm with built in desks and shelves. The facility is definitely well-used, however, it was clean, safe, and quiet, which is what I needed. The location is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Baltimore, but is walkable from the light rail if you don't have a car. For food you can easily walk to the Mount Washington neighborhood, where there are restaurants and a grocery store. There was a breakfast in the morning, but I left too early both days to see what that entailed.

I would recommend to anyone who needs a no-frills, economical, but yet still safe stay in Baltimore.

This conference center is accessible, economical and the service was superb. The food was plentiful and the choices were vast. The beds and sheets were very nice and each room has a balcony. The grounds are beautiful and in a great area. Close to light rail and restaurants. Great gym and the snack stations throughout the property are always stocked and open 24 hours! The conference center has free-wifi throughout and in every room and a business center that doesn't charge for copies and computer time!!
