“Satisfied with our stay.”

This wasn't the fanciest hotel but it wasn't the worst but for the discount price we got was were highly satisfied. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was great (more then just bread items), room was clean and beds were comfortable. Room had a slight smell when you first walked in but nothing you couldn't get over, and the entrance to the hotel is a little hard to find. But there is 2 shopping plazas right across the street and another one less then 5 mins away.

Stinky: Shi-Tzu
I have stayed at the Laquinta several days a month for the past 6 months. While it is not a 5 star hotel. The staff treats you like you are in @ a 5 star. The staff have the over all additude that what ever needs to be done. its there responsibility to do it. ASAP, from the Manager / Front desk clerks / Housekeeping to Maintance/ Eng. The Very Best Staff, not even the Hyatt can top them. The Beds very comfortable. The facility and grounds very clean.TV could use some help ,that is with the Channels. Tom Tom gps will direct you to the front door. Improvements; Automatic doors for the lobby.

“Decent Hotel, Iffy Neighborhood”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

This is one of the older La Quintas on the East Coast, and the neighborhood is definitely so-so. That said, the front desk staff was terrific and friendly, the room was very clean, with comfy beds and decent linens, and a new TV. The hotel has the usual LaQ breakfast with two waffle machines. I was in town for a cat show, and this was the show hotel, so they're definitely pet friendly. I got a phenomenal price via bid at Priceline, and was pleased to get a n.s. room with two beds. The one major drawback was that the entrance to the hotel was NOT well marked; both my husband and I (traveling in separate cars) got lost. I'd even called beforehand, but the desk clerk was not the person who'd given me the directions. BTW, I'd had a package shipped, and it was waiting for me at the front desk. Not one of La Quinta's stellar properties, but the price was good, the value was there, and I felt safe the entire time I was there. Incidentally, the desk clerk directed us to a fabulous local seafood restaurant.

“Great Staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

The staff was the best thing about this hotel; Nacomi and everyone were wonderful. The hotel lacked a lot of the features I've come to expect of a La Quita. The bed was comfortable but a standard double size. The wireless worked. Our room was small but the bathroom was large. No frige or microwave. The door to the room didn't open smoothly; after I got my green light I had to slam my shoulder into the door to get it opened

The place looked clean but I killed a cock roach in the public first floor bathroom, and reported it.

The elevator door was obstinate ; it would close / reopen; close / reopen before it decided to leave the floor where you were boarding.

The breakfast area was small but the tables had attractive flower arrangements. The breakfast was disappointing: the standard two waffle machines were there, coffee was just OK, I didn't bother to finish it; no flavored creamers. There were only two cereal choices: raisin bran and a generic cheerio that was definitely low quality; there was only 2 per cent milk; no whole or skim. There were two yogurt choices (strawberry and blueberry), hard boiled eggs, apples, and bananas. There were only bland baked products: bread, nondescript muffins, and bagels; no danish, cinnamon rolls, or chocolate minimuffins. No meat or scrambled eggs

Although it is close to the I-695 beltway access is awkward. Make sure you know how to get there before you arrive. Bing.com maps is best for directions. Google maps takes you to an incorrect location. You have to go through another business's parking lot to get there, and signage is poor.

“Don"t Waste your MONEY”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

This Hotel was totally not worth it.On the second day here, our room was still not cleaned by 3pm.When I asked the question of what time are the rooms cleaned, the front desk clerk responded with, "when they get to them". When the lady finally got to our room to clean it, she did it so fast that she could not have done a thorough job. Then her cell phone rings and she held a conversation the entire time she was in our room (cleaning). Never will stay here again. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
