“Enjoyable stay”

My sister and I stayed for several nights. We were looking for a B&B less than a week prior to our stay, and Astoria was pretty booked up. The Hideaway suite was about all that was left and as it turned out, it suited our needs perfectly. She enjoyed the comfy bedroom, and I was happy with the fold-out bed. It was nice to have a kitchen and table. WiFi was offered on request so I was able to use my laptop in the room.
Decor is definitely "circa 1960s" but that just added to the fun & funky experience. Breakfast was tasty and our hostess was very gracious.
We enjoyed being walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Astoria.
Excellent value.

“Had a wonderful visit, quirky, fun, and great innkeepers”

My friend and I rented the basement efficiency during our visit. While not glamorous, it was clean, well kept and perfectly suited our needs. The bathroom was a little on the pink side, but the bed and futon were quite comfortable. Plus, we were a short walking distance from the main part of town, and close to the Astoria tower and Goonie's house.

After a tasty dinner and beers at Astoria brewing company, Susan and I had a great evening chatting with the owners on the back porch, playing fetch with the adorable doggies. Such wonderful folks! Great sense of humor and great knowledge of Astoria's extensive history. It was like meeting up with old friends. There may be fancier hotels and inns in the area, but you can't beat the warm welcome at Franklin St. Loved every minute of the stay.

“Very charming and cozy...”

My mom and I just spent 3 days in Astoria at this B and B. First impression was great!
Becky was very nice, showed us our room and gave us suggestions of places to visit and the best place for fish and chips. Our room was upstairs and in the back. Very quiet. Our breakfast each morning was perfect....coffee, orange juice, fruit, waffles and sausage. It changed every day. I highly recommend this B and B. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: I would choose sweet tranquility room. Quiet.

“Comfortable and Quiet”

In October of '09 my husband and I went to Astoria for a weekend trip away. We booked over the internet. Everything went smoothly. We had a wonderful time relaxing. The room was cute and the bed was comfortable. The owner's were quite friendly and suggested the best places to eat in town. Our only complaint was that we felt breakfast was on the cheap side. We stay at B&B's a lot and this was one of the smallest and cheapest breakfasts we've had. We felt like we left the table hungry and unsatisfied. Other then that, it's a very cute and quaint place. The location was great too.

“Made our anniversary special”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2010

We stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and enjoyed our stay. We love Older Homes, especially ones which have been maintained well through the years as this one has. Our host, Becky, was friendly and greeted us even though we had to arrive after their normal check-in time. She also recommended things to do around Astoria. Enjoyed our breakfast each morning, with pancakes and waffles offered, along with a fresh fruit bowl and sausage. A good start to the day. Our room was nice and pretty good sized and the bed was comfortable. We liked the larger bathroom which the Sweet Tranquility room offered. While the view from the balcony was not exactly riverside, you could see the boats and the bridge. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend others to stay there.
