Our room was clean, but the front staff person that checked us in was not very helpful. The rest of the staff while we were there was friendly. Yes the sea lions can be an issue but fortunately for us when we stayed there weren't very many so the noise wasn't that bad. Housekeeping left the window wide open when we left the first day and came back. Unfortunately it had started to rain and the wind and picked up so needless to say the window ledge was wet.

I stayed at comfort suites in Astoria one night mid October and woke in the middle of the night with itchy legs noticing a couple of bites.... Hoping for the best I went back to sleep. The next day I discovered about twenty bites! I called five times that week to speak with a manager. The gals at the front desk, Alyssa and Tammy were nice and friendly but I did not get a call back from the manager for over a week! And I discovered that they were still renting out the room without treating it! After the manager finally did call me back we went rounds and I was very dissapointed in how he handled the situation with no remedy.

We asked for aroom with a view and were not fore warned of the sea lions.The smoke detector was not wired in and the staff were rude.NOT good value.

Nice clean room. Good breakfast. Kids loved the pool. Sea lions don't allow for deep sleep, but they're heard pretty much all over town. Good location and nice stay.
