I've stayed at the Candlewood quite a few times in recent months and it kind of feels like home to me now. It's a very modest, no frills place that in all truthfullness needs a serious renovation but the super nice staff does the best with what they have. Do not expect posh 4 star accommodations, and this is not the place to go to for your honeymoon. That being said, though, the hotel is in a really neat location (note: not very close to food so make sure you bring food or go shopping)--it's in an office complex, but the whole back of the hotel faces a little lake near which you can BBQ or lounge in comfy outdoor chairs. It's always quiet, and I feel so relaxed and safe in this place I walk around in the middle of the night hunting down coffee in my PJ's and I've even forgotten to lock the deadbolt. Breakfast is not served, but there is an 'honor store' and free internet and parking. The internet is not particularly great for things that require alot of bandwidth, but for checking email and basic things it's fine. It's a good place to stay if your just there to work (but know that there is no business center for printing) or are on the road.

This place was awesome!! We left Extended Stay America which was awful to come to this extended stay type hotel. We got a one bedroom suite for $72.00 a night. It was my boyfriend, daughter and I. All of the items that were to come with the room were there and then some. The towels are really great quality! The washers and dryers are free, you just have to buy your own detergent and they have a pantry too. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfy too! I highly recommend this hotel, you wont be sorry!

If your planning on staying a fews days or more this is not the hotel to stay at. I wanted to have fresh towels sent to my room and was told I had to bring the dirty wet towels to the front desk in order to change them out. The bed linen when I first checked in did not seem to be clean the covers smelled liked the haven't been washed in weeks. I found hairs through out the bathroom. For the price please save your money go somewhere else. Horrible!

I stayed here for 63 nights while on business. I had a one bedroom suite. I was huge. The furniture and appliances were in top notch condition. There isn't a single negative thing for me to say about the room. I was on the first floor near an entrance. Everything was fresh and clean. Even the towels were ribbed and of very high quality! They have a small store where you can buy things on the honor system and have it billed to your room. Everything from eggs and butter to candy bars. They have 6 (I think) sets of washers and dryers which are totally free! Now that is an awesome value for people like me who have to be on the road for a long period. Although I didn't use it, the fitness center looked nice. There was no pool, and for many that is a bummer. Also the location is kind of odd, it's near businesses but not that close to much you would want to go do. I also don't think they serve breakfast, at least I never saw one, and I also didn't see any business center. However, my room was so nice I had no need for a breakfast as I made my own, and I had plenty of work space for my computer and printer.

Here is the bottom line though. This was the most comfortable extended stay hotel I've ever been in. Sure, I've stayed in hotels and resorts around the word that were much nicer, but for an extended stay business hotel, it doesn't get much better. Also the value I got was great. Because of the big company I contract for, I got the one bedroom suite for $62, and I hear the studio suite was only $42. If I have to work in the Baymeadows area of Jacksonville again, I will absolutely stay here again.
