This was through a bid on Priceline and I couldn't wish for a better hotel. It's definitely worthy of 3-stars. Very nice, clean rooms and check-in was quick and friendly. WiFi in room is excellent and the fridge/microwave is a nice convenience. Quick access to I-95.

I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

We recently stayed here with our three young children. Before we arrived, we called up to get two cribs put in our room. We were told that wouldn't be a problem.

So, we left South Florida without a Pack-and-Play.

When we arrived, I asked if they had put the cribs in our room. The surly front-desk worker told me no and he went to the back to get me the cribs. He came back with only one and told me that was all they have. He said we could check back the next day for more.

So, my poor infant had to sleep on the floor (she would have rolled off the bed) while my six-month old slept in the only crib.

The next day, we again asked for an additional crib. An even more surly front-desk person told us that the hotel only had one other crib (only 2 cribs for a 200+ room hotel????!) and that it was taken for the rest of the weekend.

When we told the front desk person that we were promised cribs and we would have brought our own had we only known, she became defensive and natsy. Oh well.

Still, the worst part of the stay was the dirty carpets. After the first night, we were putting our kids to bed when we noticed their little feet were black from the dirty carpet. During the rest of the stay, we kept socks on them while in the room -- each night the socks were filthy.

To make matters worse, the hotel had a large wedding on one night. Drunken patrons were singing and yelling in the halls most of the evening.

This simply wasn't a good hotel.

After I booked my stay at this hotel through priceline and read the reviews, I was really dreading staying at this hotel. But after checking in and seeing the room, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was nicely furnished and had a top-notched recently renovated bathroom. The room and bedding were clean and the fridge and small microwave were convenient for me and my family. I would definitely stay here again and do think that we received a great deal for the $35 that we bid on it through priceline. I did not use the free wi-fi so I can't comment on it.

I travel to Jax regularly both for family visits and business. I had purposely avoided this hotel over the years because of reputation based on opinions of business associates and it seemed to have fallen on hard times like other older Holiday Inn properties. Recently this hotel underwent a major overhaul and instead of the usual nice lobby but tacky rooms, this one works. We stayed here because it was a Priority Club Point Stretcher hotel and we were please that we did. Beds were comfortable; rooms were quiet; and the pool and jacuzzi were nice and clean. At any rate below $80 this is a nice place to stay. Only real negative was absolutely no view ... either interstate or gas station.
Staff was attentive, knowledgeable and helpful.
