I booked online and was told my rate could change and that my card would not be charged until checkout. This seemed pretty common, every place I've ever stayed kept our card on file and charged us when we checked out. We had the option to pre pay and save about 100 but prefered to pay on check out. We were asked at check in if we wanted to prepay or pay on check out. I said check out and was told no problem. On our third night we got a call that our card was declined, they were not suppose to charge it yet.. we hadn't deposited cash yet. And more than likely would have paid cash. They did not honor what the website said, the confirmation email said, or what the first lady said. We paid for out room and an additional 30/day for our pets and are leaving in the morning.
As far as the hotel goes, it was pretty empty. I'm in room 115 and the room next to me is broken down and unusable, room 112 doesn't have working lights. Seems like this place is failing fast.
Breakfast has bagles, but no plain ones, not very good even for a free breakfast.
My room had sheets that made my husband break out so we washed them ourselves in our own detergent to insure they were clean.
Our room was missing the ironing board and upon arrival all of the lamps and alarm clock were unplugged. There is drawing on the bathroom door. Were in a non smoking room but our brown comforter has cigarette burns in it.
The tv has a nice channel selection, but sadly I don't speak Spanish so it removes quite a few from the list.
Second night here there were people fighting, sounded like a domestic dispute. When I opened my door there were 2 cop cars.
The double beds are very soft but not comfortable with more than one person on it. My dog slept at the foot of the bed, when i sat next to him he fell off because its just too uneven.
I did not complain about any issues in this room. I was willing to pay $30 extra a night for my dogs and did everything in my power to be a good guest, I even cleaned my own room.
They lost out on a lot of money by allowing me to leave & not honoring their own policies that their own website said in bold letters.
All and all the homestead suits are the same price and have a kitchen, the nightly pet fee is higher but unlike here there is a 150 maximum.
If your on a tight budget there is a la quinta is the same price.. with no pet fees and the rooms are about the same quality.
