I stayed at Best Value Inn in Jacksonville, FL Dec. 8-10 for a conference. I paid the entire bill to Priceline, so it was a lock getting another hotel.
On the outside, it was a nice hotel. It was not a slum hotel. However, most the the residences were low to mid-low working jobs and could not see "Free Clinic" hospital or YMCA. I was the only one checking in with fair skin. All of the rest of them were much darker. While I heard no loud music or fighting, I was scared throughout the night.
On the inside, the lobby was also very pleasant. However, there was NO staff at the desk for 10 MINUTES. I was going to call Priceline, but one of the staff was walking in.
The room was half done. Yes, it did a a large tv, mircowave, and micro-refridgeator. However, the walls were scuffed up. The bed was normal, low enconomy mattress and bed springs. With me, a large person, I was not impressed. The bathroom was fair, but bring your shampoo.
I was going to stay a second night, but forego it and checked out.
