“The usual good Hampton experience”

A bit tricky to find off of I-95, but otherwise this is a typically top-notch Hampton Inn property. The staff was friendly and professional, public areas were attractive and well-kept. My room was terrific in all respects. The location is in a quiet upscale business park-like setting, close to many companies and hospitals on the south end of the city. My only pet peve: a/c units which don't have a constant fan-only setting. Per an earlier review, unit noise was a bit on the loud side. But I don't find that as annoying as having the fan going on and off all night.

Unfortunately I had no time to enjoy their usual fine breakfast items, but the cup of coffee I grabbed was excellent. A great stay.

“Slighly Disappointed”

This is a much older Hampton property and it shows.

The Pros:
Great Service – Front Desk folks were top notch
Great Breakfast – Smiling Staff and a filling meal
Room Size – Great for a business traveler

The Cons:
The AC unit – This thing was LOUD. I could not continue my telephone conversations when the unit turned on. Forget about sleeping with it on. I thought about asking for a different room, but several people staying at the hotel commented that they too had a loud unit.

Smokey hall ways. They are trying to clean it up, but smoke scent still dominates

Weight Room – Really tiny. Treadmill, cross-trainer, and incumbent bike fill the room tightly.

“Not One of Hampton's Better Hotels”

My biggest gripe was the HVAC system which, even on low speed heat (we were there in January) the noise drowned out the TV. This is one of the older properties and it shows its age.

“Worst hotel in decades”

We are Gold level Hilton Honors members, booked a non smoking room here, The room next to us was a smoking room the 2 rooms across the hall were also smoking rooms. the hall smelled like a Marlboro convention. Would not stay here again on a bet. How absurd, it was like 1960, if you wanted smoking rooms on the same floor as dumb as that is, why not have the smoking together and the non together, this ridiculous hotel has smoking rooms next to non smoking, across from smoking randomly. I had to run the fan all night and it was bad. How archaic and how dumb to have smoking next to non and across from smoking rooms. Skip this place unless you like to stink of smoke.

Room Tip: Skip this place until they get a brain and relocate smoking way from non smoking or get with the 197...

“Great Hotel and Great Staff”

My boyfriend and I live in Georgia. We went to Jacksonville the weekend of New Years. We had a great experience staying at the hotel. Rooms were clean, bed was super comfortable and the pillows were just the best. The hotel was close to the beach and to downtown, also there is a Dave & Buster's right around the corner. The staff of the hotel was extremely nice and friendly. The breakfast was very good also. The only thing that I would have liked is if there were an inside pool. The outside pool looked like it was very nice . ( We could not swim because it was kind of cold and windy ).
If we go back to Jacksonville again, we are more likely to stay at this hotel again.
