This Fairfield Inn on Bayemedows Road in Jacksonville, Florida is terrible. Don't stay here.

I reserved a room on the internet for $50.00 a night. This was one of the few hotels that had rooms left in Jacksonville that night so we had no choice.

I arrived to check in and the people were very friendly. They gave me the keys and I went off to the room. I drove around to the room with my car. I got out, and our room was on the ground level. The rooms were exterior. I walked in and the room was ok. I opened up the patio door and saw there was a golf course right there. The view was nice.

The rooms were very small. The worst part were the beds. I have never slept on such a bad bed before. It appeared that there was a box spring with a large foam mattress. It gave me the worst back pains.

I woke up around 1AM because the people next door were drinking beer outside on the patio. I woke up the next morning. The continental breakfast they serve is ok. Nothing special. There is no where to sit, so be prepared to stand or take it back to your room.

They have a tacky waterfall/garden area that sits inside their hotel.
It looks like they built a glass shed for it to sit in. I got back to the room and the floor was wet everywhere. I called and the front desk person came to take a look.

I then had to switch rooms. The second room was not any better. It was the same quality.

Besides the beds being bad, the pool was terrible. I actually saw a needle in the water. The pool area was very dirty. I never got in. I don't think they had Internet Access. I think they only provided dial up through their phone jacks.

I have stayed at other Fairfield Inns, but this had to be the worst one. The second night, I was in the lounge area and person after person was complaining about their rooms.

One lady complained that she was told that the rooms were interior and she wanted to be moved to the Marriott. The lady canceled her reservation without any charge.

Becarefull staying here. There are a lot worse hotels in Jacksonville, but try to avoid this one.
