We stay at a lot of Courtyards. This one had renovated the lobby, which is great, but the rooms and bathrooms have only been partly renovated. I would recommend the full treatment. That said, we had a room overlooking the pool with a separate bedroom, which gave us a lot of elbow room. The furniture was new and very retro - very cool. Of course, the Marriott bedding was very comfy and we slept very well, which is always crucial. What I like about Courtyards is that you pretty much know what to expect, which I find stress-reducing. We'd stay here again when back in the area.

Great location when visiting the Mayo Clinic. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Rooms were well appointed and very clean.

I stay here quite a bit because of the Mayo Clinic. While the hotel is not new, they did a great job in renovating it. The new lobby is very nice, however the new "Bistro" concept is not to my liking.
The greatest thing this hotel has going for it, is their wonderful staff and exceptional service. THEY CARE! They go out of their way to make you comfortable and are always ther to help, if needed.
I will continue to stay here while at the Mayo. While I know there are other newer hotels in the area, the Courtyard, makes me feel welcome and safe.

Most of the guests staying here are there for medical visits, mayor medical situations and the staff at the hotel know this. They are all as nice as the Mayo Clinic team members who are famous for. Lobby is new, rooms are ok, Bathrooms are sub-par and need a serious remodeling job. No bathtubs just showers.
Stayed at a one bedroom suite that has a perfect size, microwave and cooler. For my two week stay I prefer Residence Inn type places but they only have this Courtyard. I managed to discover the wonderful world of microwave cooking most of the time.
Laundry installation is also something to improve, only one washer and one dryer. Gym is on the tiny size side, two treadmills almost on top of each other, weight set and another cardio machine. All fit into a very very small room.
A five minute drive will get you to St Johns Plaza with many choices for shopping, eating and basically getting out of the medical surroundings.
Ten minutes the other way and you are at the beach. A trip I recommend. Took my wife to see the water two days after surgery and she really appreciated it.
If going to Mayo Clinic this is my choice.
