I've been weekly customer for 21/2 yrs. Price is great, clean rooms, office and maintenance go above and beyond 2 serve customers. I stay 2/3 days a week and always feel at home...

Tip - DO NOT STAY HERE!
We booked this hotel through Hotwire.com. The room had an AWLFUL smell, carpet filthy, drip stains on chair, bedspread visilby dirty, bathroom dirty, AND room was flea infested. I picked the biting germ carriers off, placed them in a cup of water and gave them to the hotel's clerk. She was very apologetic and understanding. Needless to say, we got the heck out of there!

We arrived at Jax airport late and had trouble finding the hotel so I called at 11:45 PM for directions. Nobody answered the phone!!! I tried again and hit "2" for directions and nobody answered the phone. Yes, 5 times. Eventually we stopped at an IHOP and they were able to direct us to the hotel. Luckily, someone was there to check us in. The first room they gave me was apparently occupied so I tiptoed out and got the clerk to give us another room. The place is very shabby and very well worn but I must say that we did stay the entire week because it was quiet to sleep at night. And of course, extremely inexpensive. However, I won't stay again because it just wasn't clean enough (the carpeting in the room) for me.

I recently traveled to Jacksonville from Tallahassee for a business and I happen to stumble upon Sun Suites driving in off the highway for a bite to eat. I was in town for a few days and usually stay in business specific hotels. I am away from business about 30% of the year and have a couple of hotels where I am a prestige member. I grabbed a bite to eat and a drink at the bar and grill located next to Sun suites. I poked my head in because I had never heard of Sun Suites and wanted to see what they were offering. I met a really nice Front desk personnel and she gave me their rates and amenities and took me to a room to show. I was a little set back on the decor of the hotel because it seemed a little out-dated. The rooms have everything you need for an extended stay like a home size fridge(not one of those mini fridge and microwaves) and a stove. I thought I was just going to go to my normal hotel but after speaking with the girl at the front desk she sold me at hello! She had a vibrant attitude and I normally do not boast on service but she was so friendly and happy that I was there I had to give the hotel my business. I cancelled my reservation and stayed! I am happy to note that my two day stay was comfortable and I will return one day to see the smiling faces of Sunsuites again. I cannot give up my normal hotel, but the service I recieved at Sunsuites was memorable, and I hope the girl that helped me knows that she gained her hotel a future customer!
