Traveled from Minneapolis to begin a new job in Jacksonville. I reserved a room in this place to stay until I found permanent housing and could send for my elementary aged son in a month - 2 months. Got to the hotel right before closing last night and signed for an initial 2 week stay. Within 15 minutes after arriving, I knew it was a huge mistake. Small, filthy room, no pots and pans, no dishes, men wandering the lobby and halls eyeballing my every move, a maintenance security guy who asked me if I was staying there ALONE. In a nutshell, the place was nothing like the internet photos and overall description. Even the maintenance security guy stated it was an apartment building. I would never have come to this place if I knew what it really was. Anyway, I called rigtht away and left a message for the manager that I needed to leave. Next morning, I am told I can get one week + the sec deposit back. I'm loosing a week's money, BUT I am out of here! Try the Studio 6 -- same weekly rates BUT much cleaner, newer and in a much better area of the city! Hope this saves you from making the same mistake as I did!
