At check-in I was very pleased. I was upgraded to a Suite-being I am a VERY loyal member of their priority club-given an gift bag w/popcorn and a few waters. I was pointed to the fresh cookies in the lobby and so I was feeling very welcome.
The room was near perfect. The beds were amazing. Fridge and Micro-awesome!!! Couch, I won't use, but it's nice...bathroom was new, clean and the room itself was large (remember I was in the suite).
The pool (I went for a quick dip) was smallish but outdoors (which is the only way to be imo) and while it's not heated, it's very nice. I would guess that after November it's probably of no help since I went in today and it was fairly cool-most people wouldn't brave it-but I like it on the colder side.
As for the area, there is an awesome casual Italian restaurant...Perardi's. Had them deliver me the Italian sampler and some garlic knots. Best inexpensive meal I have had while traveling in many years!!!
There is a supermarket, a liquor store and a few other things in the plaza. Can't review them cause I haven't been yet.
The downsides:
The cable signal was a little mixed. It was given me some issues on some channels...it wasn't bad enough to complain, but bad enough to make me change the channel. Then there is the internet. Oh my god it sucks. There seem to be at least a half dozen relays or what have you. Some are useless, and some are just week. If your patient, you can probably check your email. You may even be able to stream something (painfully slow) for 30 seconds...but I wouldn't count on this. What's more the guy at the desk warned me in a roundabout way... which begs the question, if you know it sucks, why not fix the issue. This is an area where the average customer is staying for work.
If your coming here for relaxation and internet is not an issue, then I wouldn't hesitate. If internet is real important, I would suggest staying in one of the neighboring hotels-well at least reading their reviews.
Overall I have to give this place a B. If the internet worked I would give it an A.
Room Tip: Ask them for a room near the internet signal if that's important. If it's real important co...
