My daughter attends Gettysburg College, and whenever I come to visit her, I make it a point to stay at a local bed and breakfast. I prefer B&Bs to hotels for many reasons, but mostly because I believe in the importance of supporting local, small and privately owned businesses when I can. After numerous visits, I have determined the Brickhouse Inn to be my favorite Gettysburg B&B. From its convenient location, to its beautifully decorated period "state rooms," to its exceptional three-course breakfasts that offer enough fuel to keep a visitor on the move most of the day, it truly has become a home away from home. Brian and Tessa are the epitome of warm and knowledgeable hosts. They communicate a genuine interest in their guests as well as an enthusiasm for the area. I recommend the Brickhouse Inn to all who make their way to Gettysburg.
