We took a trip to Gettysburg for Thanksgiving and stayed at the Courtyard for two nights. It’s simple to get to right off Route15 in a complex called Gateway Gettysburg. Our room was clean (and bug-free), comfortable, and quiet. The full breakfast buffet which we got as part of a package deal was more than adequate. As far as its location with respect to the area’s biggest attractions, it’s a very short drive to Gettysburg, the National Military Park (i.e., the battlefield), and the Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. We like staying away from the center of tourist activity, so the Courtyard was ideal for us. There are many other choices for lodgings in the area, but we’d stay at the Courtyard again.

Hotel is about 3 miles outside of Gettysburg in a complex near another hotel, a restaurant, and a movie theater. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Hotel staff was helpful and attentive during check-in. A bar with television is available for guests near the lobby, and a breakfast service is available but there is a charge ($10.00).

We decided to stay here rather than try to locate a Bed & Breakfast. Although located out of town, it is not far from the Battlefield and the other attractions. The rooms are adequate and attractive, hotel has a nice lobby, breakfast buffet was reasonable and great, and the staff helpful and friendly,

Nice hotel located about 3 miles from downtown Gettysburg and right off exit from highway. Very comfortable room, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. Hotels shares large campus area with Wyndham Hotel, large movie theater and some restaurants. Straight route to downtown Gettysburg. Gettysburg, PA is full of friendly people, nice restaurants, shops, and this was a good time of the year to visit -- Veteran's Day holiday. Had good fall foliage. Must, must visit the National Park Service's Visitor's Center and take bus tour with guide which will give you an understanding about the pride that residents have for their historical city.
