“Good for the Price”

I recently stayed at this property on the 2nd half of a business trip. The room was large with separate bedroom. The hotel and rooms are a little dated, but not too different than most downtown hotels in the northeast. My room had a balcony, which was nice. I didn't make it to the gym, so I can't comment on that. My one complaint is that there were soap/shampoo left in the bathroom which was new. I stopped by the front desk and they gave me some.

The bed was comfortable, the suite was clean, the Televisions were flat screens, but I don't think the programming was HD. The wireless worked great.

I wouldn't have a problem staying here again, but if you're site-seeing it is a bit of a walk to Independence Hall.

“Nice hotel, crazy stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

The hotel itself was nice. Located near nice landmarks, and some nice restaurants, it was fairly convenient. The rooms were HUGE which gave the hotel a homey, non traditional feel that was comforting. The staff was so kind and friendly.

I stayed there the wrong weekend though.

The ILMUNC model UN conference was the same weekend I stayed, and it was a mess. The elevators, at certain times, would take anywhere from fifteen to thirty minutes only to be packed into a tiny elevator with fifteen snooty teenagers making jokes. The noise level was INSANE. I heard screaming, singing, and laughing until two or three in the morning, and smelled some nasty things coming from the teen rooms.

The breakfast was delicious, yet so crowded with so many high schoolers. I heard that one group of high schoolers threw a water bottle off the balcony onto someone's car; sounds dangerous to give high schoolers balconies. There were usually some groups of teens barreling up the staircases at all hours of the day. I heard there was an apple fight, with the teens throwing apples at one another in the lobby, and some practical joke with a giant stuffed horse showing up in random places. I'll never understand teens.

Overall, I would go back. It was a great hotel, I only wish the hotel would give sufficient warning to those who are staying during a large high school conference. I have the humor to overlook these small inconveniences, but some people may not.

Room Tip: Closer to the Lobby for easy access, and elevator optional if your in good condition.

“Great property in a great location!”

At first I was not sure I was going to like this property at first glance, because of its untraditional building, but I was very wrong. Because of the building, the rooms are huge!!! There was plenty of space for our family of 5. The rooms were clean and appointed as Embassy Suites generally are. It is in a perfect location, in walking distance to all the museums and anything else you would want to do downtown. The managers reception was excellent with friendly staff, but get there early if you want a table. Breakfast was regular Embassy Suites fare served in the restaurant next door. The only thing you may miss at this location is use of a pool and being very busy there can be longer waits for the elevators.

“We loved the hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We loved the Hotel, my husband and two kids. Great location, and views. Our room was very spacious and have nice views from the living room and from the bedroom. We stayed at a 2 room double suite, city view. Very comfortable sheets to sleep in! Across the street there is a Subway Restaurant, and in the ground floor there is a Friday Restaurant where you can have complimentary breakfast every morning, and have room service from.

As a hilton honnor guest they did not charge us for the wireless internet which was very good!

We decided to go skiing and went to Spring Mountain Ski Area for a day, it is only 45 minutes from Philly, that is why we decided to go and was great! It is a nice small mountain ski area. But for us, begginners, was great! It is located in a nice area.

“Excellent hotel with impressive customer service...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Very good experience at the Embassy Suites. Check in was quite fast, receptionist very cheerful and welcoming. Rooms are very spacious, with kitchenettes, living and dining area which are separate from the room. The hotel has TGI Fridays based at its lobby.
As i was hanging my jackets in the closet, they got accidentally stained from some dry powder paint... the hotel acted very responsibly by taking having them dry cleaned on their own expense, and offered me complimentary internet as good will.
