“Ok”

This is corporate housing, but short stays are accommodated. I had one of the smaller rooms with a full size bed, tv, desk, and armchair. The bathrooms are generally clean and updated. Love the Aveda bath products. The kitchen could use updating but it's not the end of the world. The grime on windowsills and mediocre carpeting could use some improvement but are tolerable. It's not like a I eat off the window sills. The business center and internet access and laundry on each floor are very convenient. The weekday breakfasts are a nice perk, although don't expect anything special (ie boxed donuts, mass produced pastries and muffins). The gym is small but nice with mostly cardio machines. The people working the front desk are very helpful. And last but most important: the location cannot be beat!

“Korman Rittenhouse -- all you could want”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2006

The Korman is a grand building in the best location in the city -- across from Rittenhouse Square, a lovely urban park, and near many restaurants and amenities. The rooms are very well equipped and the building is lovely. But what makes it really special -- apart from its being much more affordable than its highfalutiin neighbors -- is the warmth and helpfulness of the staff. Joe at the front desk was terrific, as was the smiling Katie. And Lynn, the manager on site, was also very helpful, when we realized we wanted a suite rather than a studio, and when we needed a late checkout.

Stayed for a month while my wife was working in Philly. Friendly staff, building with character and walking distance to everything you need. Look no further.

“Great place to stay in Philly”

We stayed at Korman Communities for 1 night. It was a great location, hotel staff was very helpful. I couldn't believe we had this apartment with full kitchen, living room and dining area for the price of a hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

“Loved It!”

My daughter gathered 12 of my best friends for a birthday celebration. She lives in Philly and picked the Korman RittenHouse for our stay.
We had (2) 2-bedroom/2bathroom apartments on the 5th and 6th floors overlooking Rittenhouse Park - Great view!
These are not hotel rooms so if you're looking for crowded lobbies, noisy vending machines and food trays left outside the rooms - go elsewhere.
These are truly beautifully decorated apartment suites with fully appointed and well designed kitchens with refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, garbage disposal and even a washer and dryer that sits off the kitchen. The huge living room has a dining room table with six chairs; 2 full sized comfortable fold -out couches flanking a (nonworking but pretty) fireplace; a writing table and chair adjacent to the fireplace and two wing chairs and small table near the window. There's also an entertainment center with a large TV. The Queen and King bedrooms are spacious and have great closet space (the King has a walk - in closet; the queen holds a linen closet full of bath and hand towels and wash cloths). The spotless bathrooms have pedestal sinks, marble tiles and are stocked with Aveda hair and bath products. The facility has a great fitness (every machine works!) and different types of yoga classes are held daily. There's no restaurant on site but a very lovely coffee shop connected to the facility. You could also walk a few steps down the street to a 24-hour Wawa store for supplies.
The front desk staff are true professionals, caring and helpful in everyway and very knowledgeable with the area. The housekeeping staff were wonderful and also very efficient (never had to call about the rooms not being kept) The only thing that will be a challenge is overnite parking - a little pricey for some but if you're from the NYC/NJ area like me you come to expect that as part of the price of travel.
So, If you want to step out of the hotel/motel "box" and live in an upscale "home away from home" enviornment - I'd recommend Korman RittenHouse for sure!!
