I stayed here on a business trip to U Penn. Normally I have trouble getting the government rate here, but the world is not full of people who want to go to Philadelphia in January, so this time I had no trouble. I asked for a quiet room, and got a room at the end of the hall away from the elevator, which was very quiet and comfortable. It was not large, but it was large enough, and included both a chaise lounge and an armchair, so two people traveling together would both have a comfortable place to sit (this is one my beefs about hotel rooms, I usually have to get at least a junior suite to get this basic amenity). Breakfast was wonderful, and not too highly priced ($18) considering what was on offer. Like others, I found the IPads a little gimmicky, but I should point out that they are connected to the Internet, so you can use them for more than just accessing Guest Services. Service was top-notch. Finally, it is only a 20-minute walk (or a quick cab ride), from the 30th Street Amtrak station, and only 3 blocks away from my meeting at U Penn. There are also a lot of good restaurants within a few blocks (the White Dog Cafe is one of my favorites).
