“"It was ok"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

This hotel was ok in someways. The staff at the front desk were nice to us greeted my husband every morning. My kids liked the pool area with the picnic tables has it's own lifeguard by the pool, we also liked the sand by the volleyball court. They should plant like flowers if they would do that it would be nice. The rooms were ok except the shower part it had mold on shower tiles me and my husband brought bleach spray and did that every morning. They need new curtains and to clean the rugs my kids feet were dirty had to wear slippers. My husband brought us breakfast in the room.My husband likes it for the fact that it has the sliding doors that leads you to the pool and the parking lot because we stayed on the 1st floor. The beds need new bedspreads had like cigarette burns and it was a non smoking room has a mini refrigerator and microwave. We stayed there 2 times we like it's ok.There are alot of stores and places to eat.

Room Tip: poolside it nice we like it. People play volley ball by the pool and the bar opens at night if you d...

“Horrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

This was by far the worst hotel our family has ever stayed in. When we first walked in we weren't greeted by the front desk clerk, but was told to hold on while she continued her converstation on her personal cell phone (to which she was cussing and yelling in front of our 2 year old). After about waiting for ten minutes she finally got us a room which we asked for a room with one bed, she then said that she gave us a two bed room because it was "bigger".

After having to drive around to the back of the hotel and walk up the none air-conditioned flight of stairs and hallway, we entered our room. The room smelled like smoke and dirty feet. The entire room was disgusting. They were cobwebs in ever corner of the ceiling, there were burn holes in the blankets, the balcony (which did not have a secure locking system) was covered in cigarettes, the lawn chairs that were on the balcony were covered in dust, the bathroom hardware was dusty and dirty, when we turned the shower on it smelled like fish, there was trash in the drawers from preivous guests, the channels on the television that were promised were not there (no kid friendly channels at all).

On top of everything the fridge was broken which ended up spoiling a lot of our food that we have brought with us, the air conditioner had a sensor that only turned on when someone was in the room and the thing didn't even work because someone had broken the knob off. When we called down to the front desk (after fixing it ourselves) the front desk clerk said he would still have someone come look at it because "we'd just complain about it again". No one came and looked at it and we ended up sticking a ballon in front of the sensor to keep the room cool.

But the worst part about our stay was the 2 guys trying to break into the bar and pool, which was right outside our room. They were drinking in the parking lot and going in and out of the hotel. There is no sercurity at all at this hotel, NONE of the locks on the doors work and we feared for our safety.

Please do yourselves a favor and DO NOT stay here.

This is a great hotel for a summer stay, especially with children. It have on the premises an outdoor pool that goes up to 8 feet, a kiddie pool, playground, sand volleyball court and picnic tables along with lounge chairs. The continental breakfast is also good.

“Not imressed and wouldn't recommend this place. I'd call it sketchy.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2011

The hotel had the feeling of being let go, it was unclean and smelly. There was a nice garden area in front that was visible from the lobby and front walkway, but it just had dirt and weeds and no attempt to plant anything...looked ugggly. The front desk staff both upon checking in and checking out were very rude to other guests. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke and marijuana and I didn't feel safe until i was locked in my room. We had a jacuzzi suite, which I don't have any complaints about, other than it was down a long hallway and around a few corners and down some other hallways.
We arrived for breakfast 10 minutes before it ended and they were out of coffee, milk, fruit, well lets just say they had cereal (with no milk), 1 kind of yogurt, and some nasty little muffin looking things. There was about 10 people in the breakfast room and half of them had already eaten (or appear to have eaten) and the other half were waiting like us. Only the coffee and milk were filled up. It was just unacceptable. I would not recomment this hotel.

Room Tip: I wouldn' recomment staying here.

“A pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2011

We were in town for a family event and this hotel was the closest that had an opening. We were apprehensive at first and upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The facility is old, but recently remodeled and it appeared they were not finished--which was fine. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. It could have been a bit cleaner, especially the bathroom and around the "edges". The breakfast selection was not as good as other places we have stayed, but the coffee was fresh and hot.
