“Won't stay here again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

We have been to SnowCreek resort twice over last two years. The experience has not been very good. 1> Beds are just uncomfortable, probably cheap brand. For trip in 12/2009, we thought we were bad luck in choosing the unit (forgot the #). This time (2/11), we chose #433 and again had a very uncomfortable bed; 2> Condo's appear nice from outside, but inside is not so. The ceiling is too low, stairways narrow and bathroom too small. Overall, you feel like being confined; 3> Staff, especially the ones in charge, are not very accomodating. No way, you may change booked unit or dates; 4> Location is a little far from ski facility. We will try to find anotehr facility for Mammoth next year.

“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2009

For the first time we decided to try a condo instead of staying at a hotel. We seemed to have hit the jack pot with Snowcreek. We went in the winter and stayed in Phase 4. The unit was GREAT! It had a fully stocked kitchen and a dish washer, so it was very easy to cook our meals. (There are no cooking spices so you need to bring your own). They even supplied the dish soap and sponges! There was also a washer and dryer for cloths and they supplied the soap. The beds were clean and comfortable. Towels were provided, all in good condition and there was plenty for our party. The condo had 2 bedrooms - each with a TV as well as in the living room (and they all had cable). They provided a hummidifier which made breathing at night much easier. They also had internet connectivity, which came in very useful.

We also had access to the Snowcreek Resort Atheletic Center for no additional charge and could walk to it everyday. If you are a gym person this was one outstanding gym with a wide variety of equipment. Plenty of classes available. Great changing rooms with towels provided.

The parking was not covered but it was right in front of the unit we were staying. It snowed while we were there and we appreciated the quick clearing that the management company did of the roads around the condos so it was easy to get out. We also had easy access to the local Mammoth Bus system because they stopped right by the Snowcreek Athletic Club and you could ride up to the ski lifts (though the bus makes various stops around the town).

We had such a great stay at Snowcreek that we definately plan to return.

“Great place, but it matters who you book through!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2008

We booked our stay through Snowcreek Resort Property management (www.snowcreekresort.com) and couldn't have been more pleased. The unit was spotless, well-equipped with free WiFi, HBO, high end cookware, nice dishes, comfortably decorated, etc. They were instantly responsive to our request for more towels and toiletries. The rates include free use of the Snowcreek Athletic Club, which was great for my kids. We;d get up, go on amazing hikes, and then when we'd return and the kids still had more energy to burn (but mom wanted to read her book!!), we'd go over to the club two pools (one indoor, one outdoor) and let them swim til they ran out of steam. Dinner, a bike ride into town for ice cream, and it was beddie-bye for every one! The kids also took very reasonably priced tennis lessons at the club (discounted to $12 for 90 minutes because renting through Snowcreek give you daily membership rights. Saved a bundle there!)
This was one of the best and most relaxing vacations we've ever taken.
My understanding is that while other management services in town may offer slightly lower rates (padded with extra booking fees, etc.), Snowcreek Resort is the best. They handle the most units in this complex. We stayed in Phase 5, a great dog-friendly unit -- there aren't many. This was easily the nicest place that ever let us bring the pooch. Ask for #867. And book through them, spare yourself the aggravation that other posters talk about.

“Beware of Mammoth Front Desk and #749!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2008

Isn't it illegal not to have working smoke alarms??? Or screens on second story windows?? What a sad nightmare. We booked condo #749 in Snowcreek phase five through Mammoth Front Desk for our family reunion. When we walked in we found a very dirty condo in a state of disrepair. The blinds were torn off the wall above the sliding glass door and the door didn't even open as it was broken( see photos). If that wasn't alarming...then the battery-less smoke detectors were! No pun intended. We have two non functioning detectors in this condo - one outside a bedroom. The kitchen and bathrooms were filthy including dirty towels thrown into a drawer and grease all over the stove range. When we called the Mammoth Front Desk manager they never offered to come clean or repair it. They offered us a different condo but it had a floor plan with less space and offered twin beds when we needed at least queens. When we realized there were no windowscreens on the windows in the second story we were sad to know our little nephews wouldn't be safe to roam free in the livingroom. And as if that wasn't quite enough my father was picking up garbage under the dining rom table when he found an old nasty apple up against the fire place. There was old used soap left in the showers and leftover used bars stuffed into random drawers... the list goes ON and ON. I called the "on call" number this pm at 5:10 p.m. and still no return call on when they can come and repair the smoke detetctors. When we booked they never mentioned the damages or DIRT in this condo. Did I mention the garage door was smashed and split...and it was fixed with duct tape? Or the dirty pots stuck with spaghetti? I opened a cabinet to put away our groceries and found rotten popcorn lying all over. In the past we rented through Snowcreek Resort and will from now on. All the condos here have amazing potential..but do your self a favor and DON'T RENT through Mammoth Front Desk. And don't bother with #749. The rental agency and the owners are not concerned about health and safety. Too bad. If I owned this condo I'd be embarrased....

“Some of the Best in Mammoth”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2005

This is one of the nicest places you can stay in Mammoth. There is a sports club with an indoor pool, racketball courts and weight room. The units are usually clean, however the towels and sheets are like a cheap motel. Which has been my complaint for the past several years. The resort is out of the way, which is fine for our family, as we drive up to June Mountain to ski and come back to Mammoth to enjoy the town's dining & market.
