My experience
My family has been staying at MSRC yearly for the last ten years (multiple times per year in the last two years). We return every year because we have been very happy with the service, the units are comfortable and the location is great.

Rooms
We have stayed in various units throughout the years. There are very large units that accommodate many people and smaller units that are great for two. When we have traveled in a large group, we get 2 to 3 rooms in order to meet all of our needs--my husband and I will get our own studio unit, adults with kids get their own unit and multiple couples get a unit with two private rooms. This approach has been a great way of traveling and spending time with loved ones while at the same time having a retreat for privacy. Although some units have recently been updated others look like they may have some of their original flooring and cabinetry. Some units have stunning views and others look out to a neighboring building. Some units have very well stocked kitchens and other are satisfactory for most types of cooking/baking. Some units have a good number of movies and games, other do not. The pictures and descriptions are very useful for finding a suitable unit for your needs/wants. Although the deluxe units that we have stayed in definitely feel a lot nicer than the regular units, there are some great regular units that have become favorites. (I am selfishly omitting our favorites)

Amenities
The pool and spas are fabulous after a day of Mammoth Mountain activities. There is a large spa that fits about 8 comfortably. There are tennis courts which we have yet to experience because of all the great things to do in and around Mammoth. Each unit comes with one assigned covered parking (garage) and one unassigned uncovered parking. There is a BBQ available at the pool.

Room Tip: Check MSRC's website for the property map. Buildings B, D, E, F and G have great views (units th...

“Good Value & Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2010

My family and I have stayed at Mammoth Ski and Racquet Club on numerous occasions in the past to celebrate the 4th of July and really never had a bad experience. True as some of the posts indicated, some units are more rundown than others, but I asked the office staff to pick me a out a nicer unit, which they did. They also reserved a nice updated unit for another family we were vacationing with. When we arrived the unit we originally booked had problems with the fridge, so they kindly moved us into a nicer "deluxe" unit and even helped move all our things. Things come up that are unforeseeable and they did what they could to make things right. We'll be back again next year and the year after that.

“Rundown, poor lighting and lazy service!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 April 2010

Looked forward to staying close to Canyon ski lodge. # 41 cannot be recommended for anyone who would like to read (which we like to do in the evenings after being on the slopes). Inefficient lighting everywhere from living area to the loft where beds and bunk beds were. The entry from the garage areas was also dimly lit down the hallways. We were instructed to leave towels inside the door of condo if you wanted them changed out.I even had them outside the door with a note and no one came to change them. I called 2X and finally was told I better come to the office to get replacements, this was during a snow storm!! Found out later staff had gone to the condo directly across from ours (they HAD to have seen the towels in a pile) but never ours. Many vacancies so no excuse for this!

“Great value for the money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2010

Great place for families. We've been coming to Mammoth Ski and Racquet club for over 10 years. They offer many different size condos to fit different family needs. We had 6 families on one trip and we were all able to find condos all together. Great jacuzzi large enough to handle large groups. The kids/teens love the game room. Also great location, close enough to walk to the ski slopes and back for lunch at condo. Also there's a ski trail to the village.
Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Affordable. Inside and outside parking . A big plus for our family since we have a econoline conversion van that won't fit into garage parking. Slight hill driveway, might need chains when snowing

“Great place to stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 March 2010

We spent a long weekend there and were very impressed with how clean and quiet it was. We had a great view and the staff was the most friendly and accommodating we have every experienced. We walked to the lodge/lifts and getting there was easy..on the main street. Five stars!
