We wouldn't normally stay in a "Budget" hotel, however we were out of travel time for the day and decided to take the chance.
Despite poor reviews elsewhere, this hotel was quite surprising. It certainly provided all the usual facilities you would expect from a high class hotel. The owner/manager was an interesting character who appeared quite abrupt, but I guess he's used to dealing with some real characters himself.
The rooms were very well worn. The close-by bar was actually very good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. No doubt it could get a bit roudy, but that's what bars are all about!
Would I recommend for my Mother to stay here? - Definately NOT. Would I recommend for adventurous friends to stay here? - Cetainly.
Room Tip: Ground Floor - Away from Bar (If you don't like noise)
