Returned to Shorewalk after a 2 year absence, had forgotten why we love staying here. Grounds are impeccably kept, deck area around the smaller of the two pools has been completely replaced, the clubhouse revovation has been completed to such a high standard it is actually "too good" a job!!
Wi-fi works well in and around the cluibhouse pool area, shame not offered as a freebie in the apartment.
Apartment was clean, plenty of space to spread out, had our daughter and her friend (aged 23) with us so they had one end of the apartment really and we had the other, never the twain shall meet, which suited everyone.
Easy stroll to the pools and tennis court no matter where the apartment situated. Nice and quiet as well. Also, a gentle stroll of an evening to Applebee's and the several other bars and restaurants nearby, a godsend not to have to get in the car.
A five mile simple drive out to the fantastic beaches on Anna Maria Island.
Even got in a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game this time, just a 40 minute drive away.
Roll on next time, will not leave it 2 years before we head back to Shorewalk again.

Just back after an enjoyable two weeks at Shorewalk, The apartment was very clean on arrival & we were impressed with the amount of space. Walk in wardrobe was a luxury as was 2 bathrooms. Plenty of towels & a change of linen was provided.
The pools were great. Clean & always plenty of sunbeds. As we stayed in the hot season, shade in the afternoon was appreciated & very necessary. The pool nearer the clubhouse was shady in the morning. However, with so many places to visit in the area, you had to explore. Busch gdns is within an hour & the beautiful beaches of Anna Maria are just 10 minutes away. Publix, restaurants & Walmart are minutes away, even within walking distance depending on the weather.
All in all, a very good base to explore this area of Florida.

No doubt about it, this is a good value for all that it offers. The 2 bedroom, 2bath condo was clean and comfortable. Easy access to pools, tennis and clubhouse. While they did have WiFi at the clubhouse, it was not available in the condos while we were there. If I were on vacation, I would not have cared about internet access. Rudy was prepared for our arrival, kind, friendly and thorough. We chose Shorewalk based on reviews and value. We needed two bedrooms, and having the 2 baths was a plus as was having the living room. We were initially concerned as we were close to the pools, but it was very quiet. Since it was a short stay, we figured how bad could the place be? We were pleasantly surprised by the whole setup. This place is great for multiple families traveling together and family vacation/reunions because it's such a great setup and price. You can walk to the store, grocery, drugstore, etc. from this location. It's across the street from the Holiday Inn off Cortez (a main road with an abundance of stores). The condos are a short drive to Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key beaches and restaurants.

Traveled with a group - booked several condos and the folks at Shorewalk were great to work with. This place is a great deal, you get a lot of bang-for-the-buck. Some units are little outdated, but, who cares? They are kept clean and have everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The place is well run and the grounds are well maintained. See you next year.
