We stayed at the Dayton North Knights Inn in July 2006. First, they took our credit card, but would not give us a receipt. The toilet ran all night, and the lid was broken halfway off. The wallpaper was coming off the walls, the doors & furniture were delaminated due to water damage & the water fixtures were corroded. The blanket & bedspread were dirty as well as the carpeting. A light fixture was hanging from the ceiling along with the accoustic surface. The room was overall in filthy condition - even the electric outlet was grungy - I didn't want to plug my appliance into it! This place needs to be gutted & remodeled or knocked down!

I have to tell you this is by far the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in, the wall paper in my room was all coming off, there was mold everywhere, it was just plan filthy dirty. It had snowed the day before we arrived...about six inches and the parking lot was not clean/plowed nor was the sidewalks. They took ice melt and threw a little in six inches of snow and made slush that we were forced to walk through which was about ankle deep!!!! It was horrible. We did not have enough pillows on our bed (one for a king size bed) and when we asked the staff for more we were told they didn't have access the the pillows so we didn't get any!

In the case of this hotel...You get what you pay for.

I stayed at the Dayton Knights Inn at I-75 South, Exit 60 during the middle of May 2005. Unfortunatly we had reserved several rooms for our party and couldnot change hotels or we would have. The place is a real dump, I've walked out of worse places. The rooms stunk of cat urine, there was something growing on the shower curtain, and there were holes in the bedspread. The rooms were "not very clean". In one room the bathroom door latch was broken out of the frame and wouldn't latch and the toilet was not attached to the floor, it was just sitting there and would rock back and forth. We payed about $90 per night which was way more that this place was worth. We will never return to this motel again, or for that matter, probably any Knights Inn. Stay at your own risk....

We made reservations on the phone sight unseen two hours before we pulled up to the motel. Once we arrived and saw the rooms with broken windows ,door panels broken out and pooooor house keeping all around the office was a mess. Plus the person at the desk had an attitude problem. What really aggravated me was that since i didn't cancel my reservations within 24 hours i had to pay for a night. They did accept the reservation 2 hours prior so how could we cancel. I would of rather had slept in my vehical then in a motel so badly deteriated. I would think that even if Knights Inn is indiviually owned, the franchise would check into the condition of its motels to keep their name in good standing. Please hesitate making any reservations till you see the place. As for me I would never stay at any Knights Inn in the country or recommend the place to any of our friends.
