Booked through a discount website and paid about $37 a night. The hotel, as you can tell from the name, is for longer stays. However, on the weekends they offer some really good rates when the place is empty. I actually stay in a lot of extended stay type places for weekend trips for this reason. I have also stayed in a number of extended stay places for business.
Location - Right across the street from the Dayton Mall. The access road is not easy to find, but its right by the Olive Garden. Location offers great access to all the restaurants at the mall and the shopping as well.
Check in - Quick and easy. They don't have a front desk like most hotels, there is a small office right at the entrance. Agent was friendly yet unenthusiastic.
The room - Getting there is a bit kooky if you are in the first floor. You have to go up a set of stairs and then back down to get to the first floor. Overall, the room is very plain. Don't expect a lot in the room. Small TV and minimal channel selection. You only get soap in the bathroom. Lke similar extended stay properties, you do have a kitchenette with plates and a fridge.
Internet access is $4.99 per stay, which is very reasonable given the charges that hotels are levying these days.
No breakfast, just a coffee machine up front.
Compared to similar properties, I think that it is below Towne Place, Candlewood or even Amerisuites. Its good for a quick stay, but frankly, if my boss made me stay here for a month, I would resign.
My three stars are accounted for by the value I received. If I had to pay $70, I would go to any number of similar places around the mall that offer you more.
