La Quinta Inn & Suites in Fruita was affordable and comfortable. The rooms were well appointed for a hotel of this class. Customer service was friendly and accommodating, and went well above and beyond for us. Location was within easy walking distance to a few nearby restaurants.

However, the cheap construction that's typical of these types of establishments made for long nights due to the thin walls. The continental breakfast was only fair, and the dining area was extremely small and crowded.

In all, a decent place to stay for a night if you're passing through.

We stayed for one night on our way to utah. Easy to find. Friendly welcome, good sized clean room. Plenty of places to eat within 5 min walk. Breakfast nothing special. Suprisingly quiet given location near major junction and truck stop! Good value. We'd stay again.

We arrived near midnight and were ready for a good rest. I knew this hotel was the newest in Frutia and other ratings put it above the rest. What a mistake! There was hair all over the sheets and pillow cases and holes in the corners of the sheets! We slept with our clothes on to minimize the "yuck" factor and were glad to get out of there in the morning.

Fruita is a charming town just outside of Grand Junction. I stayed at La Quinta on business as the hotel is closer for me than the hotels near the airport (where most of the hotels are in Grand Junction). The La Quinta was very clean and appears to be one of the newest hotels. Their are plenty of restaurants nearby and there is a cool little downtown area. We ate at this fantastic pizza place called the Hot Tomato Cafe - I had some of the best pizza and strombli ever - highly recommended. It is about 5 minutes from the Grand Junction Mall and more dining/shopping options. There is a dinosaur museum right next to the hotel and is super close to the Colorado National Monument. I'd love to come back and check out some more of the outdoor activities this area has to offer.
