“If I'd Only Known”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The only good thing about this motel was the guy at the front desk. Really, What a Dump!!! The bed was falling down on one side, and it wasn't very comfortable on the other side; The upholstery on the chair seat was torn and dirty; The handle on the sink faucet squirted water all over if you pulled it full on; Neither the ice maching nor the soda machine worked; The doors to the outside, at the end of the halls, had broken/no locks; the rug was filthy; and, something bit me -- I don't know if it was a flea or a bedbug. I didn't unpack and washed everything in hot water as soon as I got home and haven't been bitten again. I was really too tired to go hunting for another place to stay, so I payed the $75. they had the nerve to charge. But don't be a fool like I was: hang in there and stay at the La Quinta just up the road -- if I'd only known.

“Older Super 8 - Fine for a quick overnight, but not much else”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Stayed here for nine hours while driving across the country. It had that old Super 8 smell and even older furniture. Room was clean though and no bugs so can't complain too much. One really nice feature was DirecTV in the rooms. Paid about $56 which seemed a bit much for a pretty empty hotel.

“You've come a long way!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Well first of all Willcox is a very small town about 70 miles from the New Mexico boarder. They make a really big deal out of an yearly event around here called Rex Allen days. Not really sure why, but I guess when you are in a small town any kind of fun is just that FUN!

Anyway, the hotel was nice and clean. They have an indoor pool and spa that was nice and clean and ready to enjoy. I might add, we looked around and none of the other local hotels have indoor pools. Let me tell you that make a big difference during the rainy months with all the lightening too!

The manager Vinnie and his wife Joy were very nice and willing to go the extra mile to make me and my wife feel good about our choice to stay. The staff Daniel and Frances were the nicest husband and wife team we have ever met. Thanks for a really nice stay and restful sleep in a clean safe welcoming hotel in the middle of nowhere.

Room Tip: Talk with Vinnie, he's a nice man and is willing to give discounts if you ask him or even Joy.

“No hospitality,Non compliant with Wyndham rewards program...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 May 2011

The woman in "reception" would not terminate a personal phone call to give attention to the guests check in...When no phone # was asked for (to validate Wyndham points) I asked for eye contact and asked? why ? Clerk then stated the process was automatic...Not so, I said & wrote out my membership and phone numbers...14 days later the points had not posted ... Wyndham, on complaint, credited my account...As other travelers have suggested the Breakfast was indeed pathetic...Air conditioning in hallways and stair wells appears to be disabled. As the non compliance, on the rewards system, was also encountered in the recent past at the Deming Super 8 the problem seems endemic on I-8 ...Another, notso Super 8 stay .

“o.k. room for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2010

The room with a king bed that I stayed in was clean, and in fairly good shape. the bed was comfortable. We got a very good rate which made it a good value. The common areas are a bit dirty and run down. THe breakfast was not worth the effort, we went to burger king instead. The pool was closed and it looked like they have a problem with that whole area, which I did not care about because I did not wish to use it.
