My husband and I were greeted by a very nice man when we arrived at the front desk. He offered us a ground floor room which we accepted after I asked him if it was a safe neighborhood. He sort of laughed and assured me it was safe. Once in the room, we found the wireless was not working which meant another trip to the front desk where he provided us with Ethernet. The room was pretty clean, but there were coffee stains (which wiped right off) on the bathroom counter and running down the front of the counter. Made one wonder if the counter had been cleaned at all. The bed was okay - one of those about 6" off the floor with a thin mattress and very flat pillows, but was comfortable if you like a hard mattress. Only three pillows on king size bed, so couldn't even double them up. The walls are paper thin and even conversations can be heard from room to room. Our neighbors were late nighters talking and laughing well after midnight, but how can anyone complain about that? It didn't sound like a party. Just very thin uninsulated walls. My husband had to work on the reset button on the hair dryer to get it to work. The breakfast was literally biscuits that had been kept in a plastic container in the fridge (I.e. ice cold), with lukewarm gravy from a crock pot (about 2" in the bottom) and some pastries. That was it! When we got ready to load up the car, we opened our door to a man asking us for money. He stopped my husband twice. We told the front desk and she asked us to describe him and then said, "Oh, that is a different guy than the two we had earlier. I will call the police again.". Safe? I can say the price is cheap and the staff is very nice.
