Me and my family took a trip to the Ventura County Fair and decided to stay at this Motel 6 because of the location. There wasn't a lot of other motels available because of the fair, so we settled there. Going up to our room on the second floor was scary. The walkway to our room was slanting at an almost dangerous angle like the whole balcony hallway was going to slide down and go crashing into the trash and dog poop below. Upon entering our non smoking room, it smelled like an ashtray. The carpet had sticky gross material stuck to it. The bedspreads were dirty and the bath towels had pubes all over them. I felt sick to my stomach and could not rest easy knowing that my 18 month old and 6 year old were touching everything. I've been in a lot of Motel 6's, but this was the worst! There were prostitutes hanging outside a few doors down, there was a transient who slept by our car with his dog. There was dog poop and seagull poop as well as trash everywhere. Terrible place! I've heard there's bed bugs too, but we were blessed not to have run into those! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This is easily the cleanest $60 hotel I've ever stayed in. Fresh paint, new bathroom, outside walkways don't smell. Small room, no amenities (i.e. no shampoo, no clock, not many towels). But a great place cheap to crash for the night!!

Wow. I've been to some rough Motel 6 locations, but this one is off the chart. Walking into our "non-smoking" room was like walking into an ashtray; we had difficulty sleeping due to the chemical content of the air in the room. It was thoroughly disgusting, as were the facility grounds in general, which were littered with a plethora of cigarette butts and dog excrement. My only regret is that we didn't get a refund immediately; it was late and we were exhausted from our trip, so we just hunkered down and suffered. This place should - literally - be condemned.

Motel 6 is basically a passing thru motel & generally speaking is usually o.k. However, I've finally come across one that should definitely either do some extensive remodeling or close it down. The place is just plain run down. We were attending a function next door at the Marriott & they ran out of rooms quickly so our group decided to save some $$ & stay here since it was only for one night...thank goodness! We belong to a conservative motorcycle group & use Motel 6 several times a year & have never had an issue & my Dad uses Motel 6 frequently so we're certainly not opposed to Motel 6. However, this one is in dire need of major renovation & new management that cares what their motel looks like inside and outside! There is riff-raff hanging around at all hours of the day & night, trash strewn across the property here & there & a maintenance man that walked right by it, the rooms are just worn with dirty carpets & our friends came back to go to bed at about 11:00 at night & upon turning down their bed...bedbugs!! They got a full refund & had to leave our group & go down the road to the Best Western. For the price Motel 6 is charging nowadays, this one needs to be shut down.
