The Crowne Plaza is right on the beachfront at the end of California Street - very handy to all the shops and restaurants of Main Street and within footsteps of the beach. Great location! There's a nice bar and outdoor patio area off the lobby, plus a restaurant on-site. However, the rooms in the hotel are older and in need of some attention. Bathrooms are small, no counter space. TV is ancient, no sign of DVD player. Wireless connection costs $ if you use it in your room. If you want an ocean view close to town and don't care about luxury accommodations, then this hotel would satisfy your needs.

The check in staff was excellent. The rooms need to be updated but the location is awesome. Right on the beach and near the pier. Good place for the price.

We stayed at the hotel over the New Year's weekend. We found the staff to be most helpful, the room to be clean and comfortable and the price for the location was great! The party was so much fun and the DJ was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again and reccomend to my family and friends.

Had a one night stay here before our trip to Channel Islands NP. The hotel is right next to the beach/pier and for being PC platinum, we were upgraded to an oceanview room with an amazing balcony view. Parking was available in the surface lot next to the hotel for $10/night, and you were within walking distance of many neat restaurants and shops. Overall, a great stay! We would definitely come back.
