Room was clean, well stocked and remained that way for our entire visit. Breakfast area was clean and ample food. The train was heard once or twice a night. Employees were friendly and professional. Great deal!

We were visiting California and decided to stop here for the night. We initially chose this hotel because the price was good. As my husband checked in he noticed some brochures for restaurants which was helpful on deciding where to eat that evening. The breakfast was good the next morning. The area was very clean, and the manager checked on us to be sure our food was good. When we were checking out the hotel manager encouraged us to leave our car and walk around the city, which we did. We truly enjoyed our stay there. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean.

Large hotel. Good water pressure in shower. Ok towels. Close to Channel Islands NP. Friendly service. Would have gotten a 4 but the carpet was filthy. Socks and bare feet were dirty from the carpet. If they fix that, it would be a good place to stay

The Best Western Plus in Ventura was chosen basically for price (less than $100 a night) and location. The hotel staff was helpful and the room was spacious. The vanity area is separated by a short wall and includes a chair and outlet. Perfect for working quietly and not disturbing a sleeping mate. The internet is free but a little spotty. The hotel provides a free breakfast which is standard fare, including two waffle makers. The best part is the location. Walk to the end of the block (short walk) and turn right and you'll be at the beach and pier in no time. Turn left and in a couple of blocks you be at Main. Walk down Main St. and see many shops, restaurants, and a cluster of thrift shops. Most of them supporting charities. Typical of small town downtowns, cars are angled parked and do need to back up into traffic. Avoid these, as there are several areas for free parking just a haft block off the street.
